Great family trip
By: KG
Reviewed on: 22 Aug 2017
We had a great 4 night family trip to Nemacolin. All five of us found plenty of activities we were interested in and we tried a lot of new ones too. The resort is very clean and well kept, and everyone we encountered in terms of staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. They all seemed to love where they worked. Too many things to do in one trip - I'm sure we'll be back again. The family suite in the lodge was perfect for our sleeping arrangements; and while a bit pricey for being in such a secluded location, our agent was able to secure some perks for us. Plus, everything at the resort was reasonably priced; much less than typical hotel prices. In the end, we were actually pleased with our bill; even with all the additional spa appointments and activities we did. Nemacolin would also be a great place for a girls trip, a guy trip, a family reunion or a conference.

Really enjoyed my week’s stay at Nemacolin. Elegant accommodations and beautifully landscaped grounds!! Staff is wonderful, both professional and friendly. I felt safe there because of their Covid-19 protocols. Their were wonderful shops and amazing art work on display and for sale. The on-site restaurants were top notch. Food was wonderful and service impeccable. Especially enjoyed my birthday dinner at Lautrec. The Spa was luxurious with great amenities and a professional and attentive staff. I had an amazing week and thoroughly enjoyed being pampered. Grounds are lovely with plenty of outdoor activities. Just a fantastic place!!!

We loved Nemacolin! We stayed this time at Falling Rock and everything was great! The personal butlers– Anthony and Andrew were fantastic, and overall service was topnotch! I LOVED the spa. I have been to many spas and this one is one of the best, if not the best, I have ever been to. My guys enjoyed hunting and shooting. Everything was terrific. We will be back! - Nicole Crowley

A very special place

This is such a hidden gem- at least to us it was. We visited here in February and took advantage of all the winter activities. Nemacolin has it all. We did snow-tubing, dog-sledding (a once in a lifetime experience), used the Kids Club, their babysitting service (a lovely young woman!), the outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi, the heated cabana, wonderful restaurants, and overall, just beautiful accommodations. We stayed in The Chateau and our rooms were amazing and huge. The service was wonderful- so nice and helpful. The food was very good- we especially loved our “parents-only” meal at Laurtec (so impressed with the food and presentation) and the breakfast at Rockwells. The coffee shop on site was a nice touch. We enjoyed a day pass at the spa, which was super special. My kids loved the arcade and ice cream shop too. But our most favorite was our cabana day with the outside pool and jacuzzi. It was 30 degrees out and we had a heated pool/jacuzzi and warmed towel and robes were awesome.

Best Stay EVER

I don't mean to brag but my wife and I have stayed at many highly rated resorts (Little Palm Island, Fearrington House, Inn at Little Washington just to name a few). Nemacolin was the nicest of any of them. Exquisitely decorated, highly attentive staff, overwhelming number of activities, fantastic restaurants, I could go on and on. Our room was so large that we joked that I needed a car to get from the bed to the bathroom (which itself was larger than most hotel rooms). An exotic animal reserve, an antique carousel, their own casino, an 18 hole miniature golf course, etc., etc. The artwork alone was worth the visit. And dinner at Lautrec proved that it earned its 5 star (Forbes) and 5 diamond (AAA) awards. We cannot wait to go back.

Nemacolin was a blast. We have 3 under 5 and had so much to do that we could have spent another day. We did the zoo, snow tubing, the outdoor pool (in the end of winter!), arcade, ice cream and plenty of family friendly food options. Our only ding on the property was that the townhouse seemed worn out and some of the furniture was dirty
