Albion is a member of ASTA, has an active IATA number and is an active member of APST (Society of Professional Partners of Tourism) APST is the state-backed financial organization in France which guarantees the traveler’s monies which have been paid to a travel agent or tour operator in France.
Since 2015, in order for a travel agency or tour operating company to sell travel and touring services legally, an active membership with the APST along with a yearly contribution is mandatory. (Legislation decree n°2015-1111) The catalyst of this state-backed protection plan for third party funds dates back to the 2008 economic crisis, when some travel agencies and tour operators suddenly shut down and failed to refund their clients funds. Now this is mandatory to sell travel in France.
