Lovely experience. Our room had big windows overlooking Bavarian Alps. We enjoyed the music program that the hotel offers nearly every evening with top performers, and hiked. We enjoyed the food - lots of restaurant choices! It’s a large hotel but doesn’t feel big.

Holy moly, this place is gorgeous. The room (suite) was huge and had incredible views of the creek and the alps right outside our balcony. Amazing German engineering for the doors, windows and shades, so that you could have fresh Alpine air without too much sun.
Common areas for the retreat included 3 libraries, an area to enjoy afternoon refreshments or cocktails (either inside or outside), fitness area, etc. If we had younger kids they would've enjoyed the playground area which included a trampoline. Instead we rented bikes (option of e-bike or regular bike) on property and launched from the driveway to ride 8km to a beautiful Alpine lake.
The staff was so friendly, approachable and accommodating. We borrowed one of the cars on property to go into neighboring Garmisch for several meals, which was great.
