In Monet's backyard

What a wonderful hotel in a beautiful, timeless setting! We were greeted by lovely staff with pear tarts and champagne and that set the entire tone of our 2 night stay. Amazing authentic French breakfasts and perfect bistro food in their more casual new restaurant for dinner one night. Rooms are nicely appointed and perfectly attended to as well.

THE place to go in Normandy-bar none!

Situated in picturesque Honfleur, Ferme Saint Simeon is a 17th century property with 21st century luxury. A retreat for Monet, Corot and Baudelaire, FSS is a secure gated mini-paradise.The well-appointed spa, excellent haute cuisine, superior service (Xavier is the ultimate Concierge and celebrating his 30th year in residence), as well as great views, combine for a superb Virtuoso property. Highly recommended by our fav Virtuoso consultant, Rebecca Falkenberry, we knew it would match our admittedly-exacting expectations. But she's been doing that for over 20 years! While you may be tempted to seclude yourself in this idyllic Normandy paradise, walk into the lovely village. There is an abundance of fine places to shop, including several patisseries-all of which offered splendid macarons-our dessert delight. Don't neglect the easy drive to the WW II sites and Bayeux, site of the eponymous Tapestry chronicling the 1066 Conquest of England. Bonne journee!
