Alila Ventana Big Sur

This property is one of two luxury hotels in Big Sur it has lots of cool amenities: hot japanese baths , personal ensuite outdoor hot tubs, several pools etc breakfast buffet is included and very good also 4 oclock wine and cheese is another guest favorite. my only regret is not staying longer

Have stayed here 2 times now. The second time was just as great as the first. The accommodation is spectacular and the staff extremely warm and inviting. They quickly helped us with every little detail. Can't recommend it enough.

A very tranquil, beautiful resort. Just across the highway from the ocean but just as enjoyable. Staff are genuine and pleasant.

We found Ventana Big Sur to be a pleasure. It is a beautiful property, easy to locate and the service is excellent. We enjoyed an upgraded room, thanks to Coastline Travel and Jeff Mutnick. Impeccable wood and leather interiors made the room deep and inviting. The ocean view from the balcony was rejuvenating. Excellent room service, a deep soaking bath and an in-deck spa made the room its own little mini getaway. Ventana Big Sur has a lot of inviting features. The common area is large and well-appointed, with games from chess to scrabble, and it is just a pleasure to spend time inside socializing. The panoramic views from the front lawn are wedding-photo ready, and there are myriad nooks and hideaways where you can read a book, enjoy a soak, or both. Resort atmosphere is very casual. Management is very responsive. The in-room food is excellent. The nearby restaurant is accommodating and beautiful, and the dining is classic. I highly recommend the Ventana Big Sur.

Glamping was a real treat! The surroundings beautiful and we had all we needed for a relaxing night! Ventana Big Sur's restaurant was also delicious!

The resort is amazing and fits well with the setting of Big Sur. We were warmly greeted by all of the staff. The rooms are big and also decorated to extend the essence of Big Sur. We ate at Sur House which was nice but would have been better if the outdoor seating were available. Will definitely return to Ventana next time I am in the Big Sur area.

Our stay was very relaxing. The property is very in tune with nature - ocean, redwoods surround you at every turn. Having three young children at home, I especially appreciated escaping to the adults-only tranquility that is Ventana. Most of our stay I just marveled at how quiet it was! The service and room were both top notch too.

Glamping was expensive and no views and very little food.

We truly loved our stay at Ventana! It had all we needed to relax and get away from reality. The staff was also exceptional at helping in any way we needed. Very peaceful resort. We would definitely recommend it to others!

Alila Ventana was a great property. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The weather was colder than expected, but that can't be helped. The team moved activities indoors when needed. Abby took me on a great hike so I could see the sights. The food was amazing! So tasty. Only downside was that I was full all the time:) Great vacation in a lovely part of the world.
