Iceland Encounter is a certified member of VAKINN - the official quality and environmental system for Icelandic tourism. To qualify, companies must adhere to rigorous criteria for quality of services, safety, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility.
Iceland Encounter contributes to the Iceland Carbon Fund (ICF) to achieve carbon neutrality. We offset domestic travel for all of our guests, as well as international travel for our staff.
We are an Icelandic company, headquartered in Reykjavik. Our entire team is Icelandic and we pay all of our taxes in Iceland.
Iceland Encounter only employs local, Icelandic, certified guides.
