Good location and service

The hotel was fine -- fairly large and impersonal. Service was good, room was ok. I don't have a great connection to it and likely would look elsewhere next time.

Hotel fine, location good, rooms acceptable, front desk and concierge excellent. But food service staff lacking in basics of service and courtesy.

Cruise Singapore to Sydney

Our stay at the Shangri-La was very good. After staying at the same hotel in Singapore for a few days, which was very impressive and had been updated a year ago. The Sydney Shangri-La is getting tired and could use an update.

I highly recommend this hotel! It is first class, in a great location and has incredible views. Recommend the restaurant on the 36th floor for panoramic views of Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and the bridge. It doesn't get much better than this!

Beautiful room, food and beverage a problem

By: denis

Room was beautiful, with wonderful view of the opera house. However, at checkin the lobby was chaotic, and it appeared that the hotel catered to cruise travelers. Breakfast was a disaster- hot food cold, colf food warm, bacon raw. Concierge suggested Mix for dinner Sunday- turned out to be a glorified coffee shop. Again, food marginal at best.
