Luxury on board & in exploring

The Aria team is bringing us the nature life of the Amazone so very close to the sciff by "collecting" an Anaconda! After weeks of trying to come up with one, we were so lucky to be present. As much as this was exciting, all other activities, in nature as onboard, were well thought out and satisfying and so memorable. Yes, do go for Aqua Expeditions!!

Amazon River Expedition

We took the seven day cruise. Of the 18 that boarded at Iquitos, only my wife and I plus two singles took the seven day. The trip was broken into two segments, a 3 day from Iquitos to Nauhl (sp?) and a four day from Nauhl back to Iquitos (this segment on a different tributary of the Amazon). So although we traveled a different route, the seven day trip simply repeated the activities from the first three days into the last four. We even changed chefs for the four day segment and obviously added 14 new passengers. Bottom line....seven days is too long. Either the three or four day cruise is more than enough. Disappointed that our travel agent did not give us better insight into this and should have suggested an additional travel option for the other 3-4 days. The boat, crew, and accommodations were very good. The food changed when we changed chefs. The first chef offered more variety, the second focused on local Peruvian cuisine. 4 guides rotated amount the groups.
