Our trip on Celebrity Infinity was wonderful. From now on, we will only go Aqua Class, as the benefits provided make it worthwhile. Taking the excursion to the Tattoo in Edinburgh was the highlight of the trip. Our only regret is that the ship did not dock in Edinburgh as we would have liked to spend some time there.

The cruise itinerary was unique to enjoy 5 stops in the British Isles and 3 European ports as well. Quite a range of shore excersions. Meals and dinning room service were excellent better than remembered. Rooms and room service excellent. Did miss receiving the location maps for each port of call in our room. There was very little variety in our afternoon savories. Very good trip with great shore visits and ship services. Our disembark at Amsterdam was very disorganized at the new pier with 2 large cruise ships already docked. The staff in the baggage pickup area were overwhelmed with no busses or taxis available. Traffic into city took 1h for 20min ride 2x fare when taxi was commandeered at next ship in port.

Ship is a little old, but staterooms and public areas were clean and well-kept. Aqua Class was perfect for us as we got to eat in Bu which was wonderful. Jennifer gave us an evening at SS United States (specialty restaurant) - unexpected - and that was very nice. Spa area was lovely, as was gym. Entertainment was excellent, including cruise director who was great. I know Celebrity isn't top of the line, but it was perfect for us.

This ship seems much older than it is. The dining crew in the buffet were not very friendly or helpful. In fact sometimes rather rude. Our staff in the dinning room were wonderful, no problems other than very slow. Our cabin steward was pleasant the first day, then always seemed a little standoff as if she had gotten in trouble for something. The cabin was always clean. But the ship seemed to have a problem with the sewer system.

There were several problems before we boarded the ship but the trip ended up being one that was forgotten as everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. There was a problem with one of the excursions we had booked - Celebrity was really great in compensating us for our disappointment. The crew was fantastic and worked very hard to be sure we did not have a problem with the neurovirus that was on the previous cruise. I would definitely recommend this cruise line. The shows were really good and the information about the Panama Canal given by Dr. Dave was very informative. A relaxing, fun and informative cruise.

Great Ship with Limited Entertainment
Reviewed on: 19 Jul 2015
The Infinity is a great medium-sized ship that is obviously well cared for and staffed with very friendly people. We really enjoyed our cabin and the balcony attached to it. There were many places on board the ship to relax with friends, and we rarely felt crowded (except at times in the buffet at lunch). We really enjoyed the trivia, which was frequent, and the bingo. We also enjoyed the naturalist and his presentations. This was our first cruise and we expected the entertainment at night to be a little better than it was. But overall this was a very good experience.

The ship is very clean and staff friendly. Food is nothing to rave about, it was mediocre. We must have had a new water as several nights we waited 20 minutes for food to be delivered while other tables were getting their food. The entertainment was good. The spa services were great but felt the staff was far too aggressive in trying to sell their products. I felt the esthetician was a little rude when I turned down the products. We did not purchase shore excursions from the ship, waited until we docked so cannot comment on those.

Now know big-ship cruising NOT for me
Reviewed on: 17 Jul 2015
I think it likely that the Infinity is a perfectly fine ship, offering above-average service/hospitality/variety. However, I now know that big ship cruising is not my preferred way to see the world - and that is a valuable piece of self-knowledge. Before this cruise, 700 was the max capacity on the ships I have sailed. The Naturalist who lectured was excellent - my favourite part of the cruise. Altogether, I had a fine time - just won't seek out large ships where ones cabin is the only escape and way too many activities are designed for youngsters, young adults, and folks who enjoy SHOPPING.

The ship, although older, is just the perfect size for us. We were in a suite and had access to many perks, including Michael's club with a dedicated concierge and unlimited liquor and soft drinks. The itinerary was delightful and our weather was wonderful every day! Our only complaints were with the quality and preparation of the food in Luminae, the suite-exclusive dining venue. Although a meeting with the chef resolved my overcooked and inedible fish entrees, this should not have been necessary if they had been preparing gourmet-style meals. Additionally, the menu descriptions often bore little resemblance to the actual dish served. I'm not sure about booking a suite again.

Receiving the daily newsletter with mini chocolates on the bed, made for great planning. Having the balcony was breathtaking. The entertainment was top-notch. The doctor offered great service. I talked to him longer then my doctor all year. Having four to five people providing exemplary service is missed. We will return to cruising! Thank You! What I didn't like - not having FREE wifi. The Infinity is 17 years old, but has been kept in great shape by several makeovers over the past few years. Aqua Class passengers get a separate dining experience in the Blu restaurant. Blu offered a choice of meal options each day. The meals I chose were exceptional in taste and prevention. The wine Stewart, Fernando, introduced us to excellent wines and offered two wine seminars that were very instructive. My only complaint was the ship's water policy. One could not get a glass of water in the bar areas, but instead were given bottle of water with no glass or ice cubes. The ship also charged for bottles of water for shore excursions, which seemed tacky to me.

I did not like indoor pool as it was not really for swimming... It was more like a big hot tub. Staff , at times were not very nice or accommodating. Some staff were ok but overall the talk was that the ship was going to dry dock in March and the staff should go too. ( not my words but I thought it was appropriately said). This cruise was a back to back cruise for 29 days from Buenos Aires back to Fort Lauderdale. My boyfriend and I both celebrate our birthdays in March and thought this would be a fabulous way to celebrate both our big birthdays. Unfortunately, the Celebrity Infinity was having engine trouble for weeks before our cruise and all during our cruise. For this reason, we completely missed Punta Arenas, bypassed the Chilean Fiords, and only had two hours to tender to Puerto Montt and back to the ship. The tender lines were so long we never got off the ship along with the other unhappy passengers. At almost every port we arrived late and left early, giving us less time to explore. We believe Celebrity Cruises should compensate us for the loss of this portion of the cruise. We love Celebrity and have been on at least 17 other cruises with them. This is the first time I’ve ever had a complaint. We thought the entertainment, food, crew and the live music were great!
Great Multi-Generational Trip
Reviewed on: 10 Apr 2018
Cruising is definitely the way to travel with multi-generations! I was a little worried with teenagers to 80 year-olds but there was something for everyone. It was easy to keep busy (or relaxed!) The sailing was nice in that it alternated sea days with shore days. The service was outstanding. From the state attendants, main room waiters, entertainment staff, shore excursion and guest services staff all the service was impeccable. The activities were good... though definitely geared toward an older demographic. There wasn't much for teenagers but that was because there were only 7 teens on board a cruise ship of 2000 people. I paid full price for teens andI would've liked to have had some activities geared to them. Nonetheless the teenagers were able to take their grandparents to the bean bag toss and trivia challenges. The ship itself is well-maintained though it is starting to show some 'dating' and wear and tear. Would plan another Celebrity cruise in the future.
