This cruise was so fun. The ship is very exquisite but also had areas to dress down. Would have like more game/activities but the ones they did have were fun. I especially liked the app which made choosing excursions easy as well as embarking/disembarking easy and helped us stay informed.

This ship is a amazing. The edge class ships are the only way to go. Eden is the best cruise ship restaurant we’ve ever experienced. Our butler, Gwen, and our cabin steward, Jayson took such great care in making sure our trip was wonderful!

We had a most unusual sailing. Our three major ports were all cancelled due to a war. Most disappointed that we were unable to fulfill lifelong visits to the Holy Land and the pyramids. Celebrity did the right thing by keeping the ship, crew and passengers out of harms way. The redirected ports were disappointing — just there last year. The availability of shore excursions was insufficient for demand on board. While they did the best they could, no compensation was offered.

The walk to the elevators was too long, they need another bank or 2 of elevators. With a room closer to the back it was exceptionally far to the solarium pool. Everywhere we went the chairs were full. The ship was very crowded and noisy.

The ship, crew, food, entertainment, and experience was the best of the best ! I would highly recommend the staff and the care of our group. As an example- we had preordered a special dessert ‘apple crumble’ it was so delicious we wanted it again for our group of 9. After our meal we asked for the dessert - a chef went into the back and prepared it fresh out of the oven for us !!! YUM 🤤 My cabin steward was awesome and was right there for any needs I had . The entertainment was awesome with fantastic shows and the ships band was incredible !

We had another terrific time on this ship. All that serviced the ship were fantastic from the Captain to the room’s butler. We loved all the entertainment, especially the magician. But we also need to call out the trivia, bingo (needs more) and all the games where the guests participate.

I was extremely impressed by the vessel (design, cleanliness, decor, holiday spirit) and the staff of the Celebrity Apex. Boarding was streamlined (zero to no wait at any point) and I can't say enough about the courteous staff. Every staff member we encountered during the entire cruise was positive and attentive (pool, porter, lounge areas, restaurants, bars - literally every location on the ship). We participated in an excursion at every port (Caymans, Honduras, Belize, Cozymel) and I appreciated how the Celebrity staff was present, welcoming, accommodating (providing water and wash cloths to passengers), and ensuring we were taken care of on the excursion. Enjoying this cruise with close friends and family, we had sense of safety for the children and when possible, enjoyed "parent-themed" activities like the cocktail bars, casino, and wonderful entertainment shows. For me, the Apex is now my measuring stick for planning future cruises.

Retreat suite

Very, very fine. Retreat = best shipboard experience! ever. Was our 23rd cruise. We usually sail on ships w. 220 to 700, Apex was 3,0O0 passengers. Retreat creates a great 350 passenger experience. Fellow passengers were so so, but various members of the crew were great, particularly in the Retreat, but generally through out the ship. Butler Ari & cabin steward AJ. = best! Also servers in Retreat restaurant - Nino and Prince. Suite was very good, particularly the way the bathroom divides in two. Super storage. Typical Caribbean windy weather & a cold shore excursion in Key West. Don’t try a tender excursion, ship is too big. Getting on the ship as a Retreat passenger was wonderful. Went through a separate door, sat down in a lounge - Celebrity employee came to us and checked us in on an iPad. Then went to our suite an hour early at 12:15, where Ari talked to us about the ship for 15 minutes. Whenever, through out the cruise, when we asked for directions, we were escorted there!

Enjoyed exploring the different areas of the ship. We dined in 4 of the specialty restaurants - RAW on 5, Le Petit Chef, Fine Cut Steakhouse and The Rooftop Garden Grill. We also dined in Blu and Tuscan and the Oceanview Cafe. Our favorites where we enjoyed the food most were RAW on 5, Le Petit Chef and Blu. The main theater entertainment was excellent, the performers were not only musically skilled, but skilled in dance and acrobatics. The ship is anointed in beautiful art pieces. Our stateroom steward was excellent. Severs in the lounge areas always checked to see if we needed anything. Overall, we enjoyed our time aboard the APEX.

Second time on Apex and love the design and are fans of the Infinite Veranda. Food was excellent, entertainment was wonderful, but it’s the staff that really make the sailing. The staff never says no and are so kind. We did have a maintenance problem that took 4 visits to Guest Relations / Concierge to resolve.

Missing On Some Points

We were on the Beyond for 11 days - nicest ship ever on. The flow and decor was exceptional. Had no issues on the Beyond. On the Apex for 14 days - similar ship to the Beyond but that is where the comparisons stop. Dining room meals on both very good but limited to selection. The buffet on the Apex was not so good - often the food was barely warm and in a few cases some of the meat being served was tough and almost impossible to eat. We are elite with Celebrity but it will be our last cruise with them, not as pleased as with Princess, who we are also elite with and will return to.

Nice Modern Ship, Great Staff

We just finished a one week cruise in the Caribbean on the Celebrity Apex and it did not disappoint. The smaller ship had half the guests of Royal's Oasis class ships and a more upscale feel to it. I have to say that the staff on this ship were excellent! Very, very friendly and helpful. We received much more personal service than on our prior trips with Royal Caribbean and the food was better too. One of the nice things about Aquaclass, is you can dine in the Blu restaurant and if you don't like what's on the menu, they will give you the menu from the main diningrooms to choose from. They also pre-ordered my dinner for the following day to ensure my food allergies were addressed and there was no cross-contamination. Would definitely sail with them again.

We love the ship and the crew. The captain is amazing! The “free internet” is terrible! Had such a negative impact on the cruises I complained to customer service. They comped me a free upgrade, but not hubby or friends. My point is don’t give something, even for “free” that doesn’t work I’ll be writing to celebrity directly, too PS this is not Elaine’s fault, but maybe she can have some influence with celebrity, too.

Having seen videos ahead of our cruise, we knew what to expect, but we were still pleasantly surprised - the ship is gorgeous, and we loved the infinite veranda - can't understand why people get upset about them! Food was consistently good in all the restaurants, though Eden was clearly superior to the main dining rooms. The 4 separate main dining rooms was a great idea - never felt too crowded or saw long lines, and it was easy to switch to another dining room if one had a longer line. We'd definitely book this ship again.

We had a great time. This was our 6th cruise on Celebrity, the first on an Edge Class ship. Although as always we loved Luminae (though we preferred the smaller more intimate setting on the older ships), the new Retreat Lounge was a quantum improvement over the old Michael's Club Retreat lounge. The entertainment was the best ever, and the casino and Bacio coffee bar were wonderful resources we missed on our recent Viking ocean cruise. However, we must note that there is NO LIBRARY on the Edge Class ships, which is a terrible deficiency. Also, the art and background music is inferior to what the Viking Venus offers. Perhaps the raucous and pop music and schlock, gimmicky art work on Celebrity appeals to a younger clientele, it jarred our senior sensibilities and detracted from the overall Celebrity experience we otherwise enjoy. Also, the quality and variety of the food have declined in the Ocean View Cafe.

The Celebrity Apex is a very nice ship with a great Captain and extremely friendly crew. Our Oceanview midship cabin was in a perfect location and was a nice size. The only concern we had was the lack of variety of food selections in the MDR. The quality was good, but selection was limited. The Oceanview buffet had better options for both lunch and dinner.

Overall good experience. Only draw back was the beverage package and on board drinks experience. We upgrade to the premium package. Which we expect to get premium drinks. Celebrity has done a poor job selecting wines for their guests. Very average at best. The only place we received the wines we ordered was at dinner. The rest of the time it was bait and switch. We order champagne and get poorer Cremant or Prosecco. I order a Chardonnay and watch them pour something else into my glass. Then only when I confront the staff do I get what I ordered. Again, I am paying extra for a better selection. So at least deliver on that.

This was our first cruise on the Celebrity Apex, but our second cruise on an Edge Class ship. We sailed on the Celebrity Beyond in April and were delighted and wanted to repeat on the same class ship. The ports in Scotland and Iceland did not disappoint, and the ship couldn't have been nicer. Nightly food options were excellent. Shows were average, some were better than others. Production show and team was excellent. Good podium lectures. Overall an excellent cruise and vacation.

I'm a big fan of the Edge-class ships on Celebrity. The food and service on the ship was top notch as always. The cabins are comfortable. For the first time on a Celebrity cruise, I had to change cabins - the heavy seas caused some unusual and very loud noises emanating from the ceiling during our passage to Iceland, which made it difficult to sleep. Although the ship was sold out in the non-suite categories, making it a challenge for relocation, a few passengers exited in Reykjavik allowing for a cabin move to a new balcony cabin - which was an upgrade for me from a solo balcony to a regular balcony, where I slept like a baby the rest of the cruise! No charge and the staff was great in resolving this issue. I'm a huge fan of Celebrity and this class of ships and will sail on them again!

We sailed on Apex for the first time as a family of 17, ages from 11 to 85 and we all had a great time. Stayed in the Concierge category and loved the locations and added touches in the rooms. Food, entertainment and service were all wonderful. The only negative was the lack of enforcement to rules such as no shorts/t-shirts at Main Dining for dinner, no wet swimsuits in Oceanview cafe, or no F&B/glass in Solarium. All of these were broken multiple times during our sailing and crew did nothing about it.

This was the first cruise on Celebrity but have done about 40 cruises on Princess, Viking, Norwegian- beautiful ship, very clean. Pros: the cabin was excellent, huge bathroom, Eden lounge is stunning, huge fitness center, 4 main dining room options, efficient buffet layout, limited PA announcements, theater seating availabilty Cons: dinner menu was pretty static each day with only a few variations, the noise level at the pool and grand hall was way too loud, WiFi was a little sketchy at times

We are avid cruisers, now approaching 30 cruises in our lifetime. Although we attained Elite status on Celebrity we have not sailed on that line for 4 years. The Apex is part of the E class of ships. This was a new for us. The decor is bright, yet subdued. Eden was a unique area for us. We really enjoyed the various ways that space was used and listened to several singers there and watched the aerial performances. It was good to be back on a Celebrity cruise.

Great Eastern Caribbean Cruise

The Apex is a very nicely appointed vessel. The AquaClass cabin was very nice and central on the vessel. All of the dining rooms were very nice and the attending staff were excellent. The food onboard was outstanding and we even had a specially prepared family meal made for us on the last evening. Every evening the Entertainment very good. Drinks on the Magic Carpet were fantastic and we learned of a couple of new mixed drinks that we continue to enjoy. Getting onto and off the Apex was a breeze at the three island stops. Embarking on and then leaving the vessel at Ft Lauderdale was very well organized and went quickly. In all, we were very pleased.

Ship was nice. We really liked the set up of the martini bar being right in the middle of the action instead of off to the side like on one of the other Celebrity ships.

Even better the second time around. We loved our first trip on the Apex. The second trip was epic. The food was amazing. The service, the cleanliness of the ship. Celebrity knows how to treat their guests and they do it oh so well! We will continue to cruise with celebrity for as long as we are able to.

Super Cruise - Can't Ask for More

We took a Scandinavian cruise. The Apex ship was fairly new and modern (and beautiful). Food, entertainment, staff - all top notch. Wish the solarium was bigger or they brought additional chairs in from the outside pool because our destinations were cold so it was a challenge to get a chair but still had a GREAT time. Highly recommend this cruise ship.

The ship was beautiful. We had a deluxe inside cabin and it was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious by ship standards and the crew were very friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding and the service was great. The only draw back was when everyone was on the ship for a sea day, the seating at lunch was hard to find. It was not that they didn't a lot of seating, but we went to Norway and you really couldn't eat out on the deck, otherwise I think it would have been fine. The crew did the best they could to clear and clean as quickly as possible, other than that the cruise was great and we are looking forward to our next in December.

Beautiful Ship, but too much add-ons...

It was a beautiful ship with lots to do and a great staff, but too many add-ons. Felt like they were constantly penny-pinching. If you take this cruise line, just get the most expensive package, if not, you will be paying additional charge for just about everything. Additionally, for what you pay, the cabin was very small and cramped, no where to hang your clothes. Celebrity, since the closet is so small, and no iron in the room, can you have laundry hung on hangers instead of folding? Dress pants, Shirts & dresses, came back folded and couldn't be worn because creased and wrinkled.

Gorgeous ship and fabulous cruise

This was our first time on the Apex, and it is exquisitely decorated. We dined in Blu every evening, and the meals were delicious. However, the Ocean Cafe's food was also excellent, and there was a fantastic variety for lunch when we ate there. I also liked going to the cafe later in the evening when they had small sandwiches, fruit, cheese, crackers, and miniature desserts. The members of the Celebrity staff were all very helpful and polite. Our room attendant was very efficient, and the wait staff in Blu were at our table before we even thought about what we might want or need next. I'm a massive fan of ship entertainment, but I can be somewhat critical. Celebrity definitely has the best entertainment of any cruise line we've sailed on. The excursions were a mixed bag. My husband is disabled and cannot walk well. I chose the outings labeled MILD, but several still were too difficult for him.

The Apex was such an amazing ship. Large enough to have all the amenities, yet the Retreat experience was second to none. They took such great care of us and truly cared that we have a fabulous time. Customer service is rare these days, but we felt we could return "home" to the Apex after our days in the various ports, and it was such a treat too!

Too much time at sea

Great ship and the meals were surprisingly better than the other celebrity ships we’ve sailed on previously. Nice amenities but surprisingly not any significant differences in this new ship versus the older ships we’ve been on. Really poor job by celebrity at the port of Athens in handling boarding process and procedures. More of a free for all. Communication was very poor. Also, we skipped Mikonos because of high winds but no additional options were offered other than a day at sea. Super disappointed in Celebrity for how they handled both the boarding process and the port issue. Couldn’t we have come back another day or had another option added ?? Maybe not, but just cruising around at sea and no make up offered either in a cruise credit or future cruise is definitely disappointing.

Norway Cruise on Celebrity Apex

This was our 8th cruise on a Celebrity ship and the standards on the Apex were up to Celebrity's usual high standards. Embarkation was as smooth as ever; we arrived at our boarding time and walked straight up to the embarkation staff without waiting. We then proceeded directly onto the ship and settled in for the cruise. Staff on board were all willing to address any of our requests and were always available when needed. The ship was well maintained and was continually being cleaned. We will definitely be continuing to sail with Celebrity.

Pro Loved jogging track and Eden garden Restaurants good, food good-excellent. Easy to get into as there were only 600+ passengers. Will be a problem with a full ship. crew very attentive Loved the classic drinks package Great covid testing organization. (a hard time with TrustOne website but they gave us a print-out for flying home). Loved that everyone was vaccinated Washing station up on the oceanside café. Very convenient. Since there were so few people, swimming pools easy to use, not many people there. two shows I saw were really good. I liked how they used the magic carpet on the ship's side for tendering. Cons The infinity edge cabin. Not a veranda. It’s just an elongated room with an open-able window. Disliked it a lot. Will probably try and avoid those cabins in future. Not enough electrical outlets (box around them made them hard to use). should be on both sides of the bed. This ship isn't really for families. Similar to Viking ocean ships.

The Celebrity Apex is a new ship (since June 2021) for the cruise line. The ship was nothing short of SPECTACUALAR! The whole boat was an amazing piece of art. The rooms were MUCH nicer and larger than your typical cruise boats (Royal, Norwegian, Carnival). The food was great and the service was some of the best we have ever had about a cruise ship. 5 stars from us and we will definitely be cruising with Celebrity in the future.

We had an exceptional good experience on the newest cruise ship Celebrity ApeX. A new twist to the old style. The Dinning reinvented. No longer using the one large room and mandatory two seating times, the new Dinning style allows choice of restaurants, reservation times and a Variety of Cuisines. A much better eating experience. The APEX has many other new features that were fun to explore.and worth a return trip. We are most thankful for our Travel agent, Lisa McKay, CSB travel planners. Travel can be stressful, but not with Lisa. There is never a problem with our travel plans and that make for the best experience.

Although we were scheduled to sale the Apex on her Transatlantic crossing in 2020 and had originally rebooked for 2021, sometimes the " best laid plans of mice and men go astray" (with all respect to Robert Burns) and we did not go on the crossing. Instead we did this "test cruise" for a quick three days. Now granted, we had only 800 passengers on the ship, but I've never seen this kind of service on a large cruise ship. The staff was wonderful and so attentive and the food, even in the "main" dining rooms was the best I've ever had on a Celebrity ship. The entertainment was equally good, and I enjoyed the more intimate "Club" as well. I only wish we could have stayed longer, but there will be a next time.

Holiday Celebrity Apex Cruise

Our family had a wonderful time on this new beautiful Celebrity ship ( Apex). We have sailed on her sister ship Edge and they are quite similar. The food was very good, the entertainment was better than we have had on other Celebrity sailings and our family really enjoyed the snorkeling in Cozumel on the catamaran. The boat was emaculate and had 2 bathrooms. The snorkel equipment was top notch and was all individually wrapped. Also took us to a beach with lounge chairs, umbrellas, hammocks and inflatables. Some of the other excursions in Belize and Casa Maya were not so great. Long, unairconditioned bus ride which we did not appreciate. Other than that everything was great!

Bring back the old!

My wife and I recently took a trip on celebrity Apex. We found it to be somewhat sterile and less conducive to mixing with other passengers. Celebrity seems to have eliminated get-togethers for the Captain’s Club but had published meetings for LGBTQ+ and AA members. Also, they seemed to eliminate religious services which many people enjoyed. There is no doubt that the ship is beautiful but my feeling is the beauty should not overshadow the camaraderie that sailing brings with it. My wife and I will be frequenting Solstice class vessels which for our age group seems much more inviting.

Amazing Apex!

We loved our time on board the Celebrity Apex. This was our first cruise and we are hooked. The ship is absolutely gorgeous! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out, we never felt cramped or crowded. The food was delicious, so many different dining options to choose from, the wait staff was alway so attentive. Our cabin was very nice, the room was always clean and straightened up whenever we returned to it. The shows were amazing, we had fun in the night club, loved the silent disco nights and 80’d night, the spa and gym were incredible too. All of the employees were so gracious and polite. We will definitely be taking future cruises with celebrity!

First time on the Edge class ship

I loved the ship, but was disappointed with a few things: 1) ran out of lactose free milk, Diet Coke, Canadian Club and even Crown Royal. 2) the protein bars they used to have at the Aqua café, they no longer make. I used to get 1 or 2 daily. Not having them was a big let down. 3) I was expecting less noise in the smaller main dining rooms as less people were in each room, but it was just as noisy as the big main dining room on the other ships. 4) I didn’t take in too much of the entertainment as I found the music was too loud and overpowered the singers. 5) I enjoyed having a variety of some difference of the food options in the different main dining rooms. I very much enjoyed the infinite balcony, but I could see it being a problem if one was an early riser but the other wanted to sleep in. I would have preferred the window separating the balcony to have curtains.

The Apex was a fun ship. It’s so new and clean. Most of the night shows were great, some were boring. The cruise director, Giuseppe was amazing and tried to make everyone feel included. The staff at El Baccio on deck 4 were extremely helpful. I had a wonderful time. I just didn’t like the new veranda set up, I miss a true balcony.

I have sailed other celebrity ships and this was my least favorite. I think many of their public spaces were too small and not planned well. We had great service in Eden for dinner and the beverage service in Ocean View. I don’t like the infinite verandas as I like my outdoor space. I am not likely to sail on that ship class again.

The celebrity Apex was the best ship I have cruised with! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Our waiter was so good (Aleixa) that we went back to the same restaurant everynight. We did eat at the steakhouse but ended up at the Tucson every night. He knew our names and always explained the daily menu to us. The ship was so clean you could eat off the floor even in the bathrooms. Highly recommend to my friends and family.

The ship is wonderful. Crew wonderful. Food very good. Entertainment, for the most part, outstanding. Love the Infinite Balcony. New bathroom very nice. Bleu dining room disappointing view, so no reason for us to upgrade to Acqua Class on the Apex. The BIGGEST FAILURE was the free Wi-Fi! Caused me constant stress, even trying to use my free Elite minutes! The staff didn’t seem to know how bad it was or really how to fix it. It only got worse. Even those who paid to upgrade said it was terrible. I couldn’t get Comcast email ever…no problem the minute we got off the ship and found free Wi-Fi in town. It was the worst thing about the cruise. I would have preferred not to have anything than to be disappointed day after day. Celebrity tech needs to learn UPOD (under promise and over deliver) rather than OPUD (over promise and under deliver). I was looking for messages about my cruise immediately following this one. Very stressful.

Apex is a beautiful ship, lots of great nooks and crannies for relaxing, good food in the main dining rooms. My main issue with this ship is the central area of the martini bar, the center of the ship is so open, that the specialty restaurants, which open to the martini bar all suffer from the noise below.

We had the greatest time. The food was absolutely excellent. The number of passengers on the ship was at about 55% of capacity while it still was a full crew. The cruise director and leisure activities staff were very hardworking and fun. The orchestra that played for shows in the theatre was absolutely amazing!

Loved the infinite veranda cabin. Service of the crew was wonderful and delightful. The food was the worst ever on a cruise ship. The menu in the main dining rooms was the same every single night until the last 2 days of the cruise. The ships handling of a covid breakout was terrible. We were made to feel like second class citizens. Medical staff was so overloaded that their response was awful. We didn't receive any assistance until 6 hours after they tested us.

The Celebrity Apex is absolutely gorgeous. A room was spacious and very beautiful. Our room attendant was incredible and I wish I had saved some more cash for the end of the trip to tip him even more generously than we did. I didn't like all of the opportunities for upsells. I've done a lot of all inclusive resorts and you really don't spend more money once you get there. On the cruise, there was always another opportunity for us to spend money. We did happily upgrade our drink package from the classic to the unlimited the very first day. We didn't regret that choice whatsoever, we definitely got our money's worth on drinks. One of my favorite things that we did was the tour of the ship. We got to see a lot of behind the scenes action and meet some of the incredibly kind people who work there. The staff comes from all over the world and are all extremely friendly and interested in making your trip perfect.

This ship was absolutely beautiful. It never felt crowded. The staff was friendly and helpful at times. It seemed the martini bar could’ve used more help but it’s a large bar that was very popular every night. We were on this ship for a wedding and New Year’s Eve. The retreat pool was very attentive. The regular pool could also have used more serving staff. It’s much larger area with a lot more people. Luminaries , and Raw on five were two of our favorite restaurants as well as the steakhouse. The food and service in these restaurants was fantastic and worth paying more. We liked it shipped so much we booked again for next year.

The theater presentations were good but the sound system was poorly done - music was so loud as to drown out the singing. Edge Series Ships with Celebrity

I was on the Edge last February and loved the ship. The Apex is a beautiful ship but I was expecting the experience I had on the Edge a year prior and the Apex didn’t deliver. The sound was too loud in the theater, DJ, and house band. We ate at the specialty dining. Eden. The food and service was fantastic but we couldn’t converse with our dinner companions because of the guitarist performing in the Eden lounge. Our servers said this has been an ongoing complaint among diners at Eden. The food and service in the MDR wasn’t as good as my experience on the Edge. Menu choices were limited. I expensively purchased the premium beverage package but was served house wine at dinner instead of the wine printed on the menu. I would think when a premium beverage card is presented higher end wine and alcohol should automatically be served. We stayed in an AFT stateroom and loved it. No complaints about our cabin steward or the stateroom. Celebrity is always my cruise of choice.

We really enjoyed our cruise on the Apex. It is a beautiful ship. Entertainment was good, but unfortunately the timing was such that it was hard to get to all the shows and events. Need another silent Disco event! Food was terrific especially the French inspired pastries and baked goods. Wish there were more reasonable drink package options and that there wasn’t a charge for room service at dinner. Loved the excursions and our stateroom attendant.

The Apex is a beautiful ship. The amenities are plentiful and Officers and crew members are professional and courteous. Our cabin steward was awesome and made sure our needs were met and was very informative. The entertainment was top notch and bartenders and servers were professional and courteous. My only issue is that the food in the 4 main dining rooms was good but not exceptional like the specialty dining rooms were ( Fine Cut and Eden) where you had to pay an up charge twice what it used to be. It used to be the quality of food was exceptional in all the main dining rooms, one main reason people cruise in the first place, in my opinion. I know all the cruise ships are doing this but I had hoped Celebrity would have been different. Overall, I had a great time with friends and loved the ship. Definitely recommend.

The room was wonderful. The entertainment was wonderful. The ship was wonderful. The Captain and staff were wonderful. The food was disappointing. I’m sure they don’t serve the quality of food in the included restaurants so you’ll go to the specialty ones. Everything is now an added package, drinks, internet, etc. Bottled water without a drink package was $4.50. Some of The excursions were better then others. To take a tour of the ship they wanted $169 per person. We thought, since we booked everything through Celebrity, that our transfers to and from the airport was included, but NO, that was extra too.

We have sailed with Celebrity many times and still love the ships and crew and you never have a reason to be hungry. Usually the excursions are great; however the Iceland portion of our cruise left a lot to be desired. Out of four very expensive excursions only one had a knowledgeable and informative tour guide that could be understood. There was one that seemed to be knowledgeable but her accent was so thick only a few words were discernible . We actually were led the wrong way on two of the excursions and one guide got the times mixed up for where and when we were to be. Excursions in Northern Ireland and England were good and up to Celebrity standards. Still love Celebrity and chalk this up as an exception.

I have traveled with Celebrity in the past and I was a bit disappointed in the limited options on the Apex buffet during dinner. I know they encourage the guests to eat in the other dining options but I enjoy buffets on the ships for the choices and quick service. Breakfast and lunch were great...lots of choices...however they did run out of oatmeal the 3rd day....which is a staple for breakfast! The staterooms were large with the added glassed-in balcony which made the room seem larger. The mini-bar was stocked but it is a pay for use and other items they have on the counter are not complimentary. I would remove these items and ask for them as needed. I used the mini bar for champagne and creamer. The service was excellent.

Even though the Apex is not an old ship, it has that feeling. Carpets were shabby and worn (and dirty). Decor is dated and not to my taste. The Apex’s systems of organizing embarkation etc were very good! Cabin attendants were very attentive. Staff were smiling, friendly and willing to help at every turn. Well done on that!

The Celebrity Apex met all my expectations for a comfortable cruise with many places to enjoy entertainment, have many varied dining options, and most important, communicate with guests from onboarding to departure. Crew on board and in port made sure all transitions from excursions to any activity were like a well oiled machine. The itinerary was one I had been looking forward to for several years. All excursions fulfilled my expectations to learn about each port and the tour guides were delightful, bringing each port to life historically and presently. The bus drivers on these very mountainous islands were each superior in their ability to maneuver a bus on steep hairpin turns. All buses were comfortable and clean. We also enjoyed the ability to meet many guests from England on this cruise since it left from Southampton UK, making for a opportunity to enjoy another port and people too.

I invited two friends on their first cruise to sail on Celebrity. They shared an Infinite Veranda and I booked a solo Infinite Veranda. I thought Celebrity would be a sweet spot for introducing them to cruising. They were delighted with the food, entertainment and shore excursions. We booked the Eden, Steakhouse and Le Petit Chef. I chose Apex because we live in Georgia and it is a four hour drive to Port Canaveral. I wondered since the Apex was the first of the Edge class ships, if it would show signs of wear. It was in tip top condition, did not disappoint. The Infinite Veranda was perfect for them because it gave them extra room and they ordered coffee and pastries delivered every morning. I booked a behind the scenes ship excursion for them so they could learn what it takes to care for so many passengers. I recommend that at least once for everyone. My solo cabin was perfect for me. Queen size bed, ample storage.

My time was great, exactly what I was looking for. The only thing that I didn't like is after I came back from my excursion on the Grand Caymen Island there was only one bar open. With only 2 bartenders. I realize this has something to do with Grand Caymen policy but this needs to be updated. Celebrity or any other cruise line can not really expect that many people on board with just one bar. NOT SMART!!!

Loved the Apex it was bright, modern, classy decor. A beautiful modernization of the Celebrity fleet vs Silhouette which we enjoyed. Apex offers so much more! We really like the smaller dining rooms the ease of getting around. El Bacio was great too. The bright and light decor and design really makes the ship. The infinite veranda is interesting I believe is extends the overall space of the room. We opened our window a lot as we love having the breeze on us.

The cruise was tremendously expensive. Ship was clean, well staffed, and mostly the right size. The dining room staff was extraordinary. The shows were amazing. Buffet food all looks beautiful and abundant, but it is bland or tasteless. The ship either needs a bigger pool or a second outdoor pool. We disliked the excursions very high costs (both on and off ship) and due to weather, we missed one completely. It would be better to have a later departure off the islands so we did not feel rushed in our offshore experience. One excursion was listed as 6 hours, we expected would be the time we be there but it included travel time. This did not leave us enough time to complete the whole activities, which were not cheap. They noted a strict dress code for the main dining rooms, but that's not the case. Other than no pants or sandals for men, any outfit was acceptable. We have also done Royal Caribbean, which has more kid activities. We would choose Celebrity again with better expectations.

Absolutely one beautiful ship!.... my only complaint with Celebrity is waiting until 5pm to get a cocktail (I'm Diamond + on RCCL)

Iconic Suite on the Apex and more ...

The Iconic Suite has floor to ceiling windows through out, 80 inch TV with surround sound in the living room, 2 beds 2 baths; walkin butler's pantry with full size Fridge and Wine Cooler. You have a dedicated Butler that will serve any meal you want in your huge insuite dining room and take care of your every need. Balcony with hot tub large enough for 6 people, cabana, table and chairs to lunch outside and multiple other sitting areas is to die for. The food on this ship is 5 star. Only downside is the entertainment which I would rate as a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best.

This was my first cruise and I couldn’t be happier with Apex. Everyone is professional and a pleasure to be around. My room was outstanding and I love ls the beds ! The food and drinks were also exceptional!! I loved all the activities and entertainment. I will be back!

we are not big ship fans. had retreat class with 2 restaurants, reserved area show, easy boarding and disembarkation. entertainment was excellent. great experience

We will definitely sail with Celebrity again. The ship was clean and beautiful. The staff was outstanding and the food was great. There was so much to do on the ship, and it was completely relaxing.

We were well cared for, from the room steward, food servers, wait staff, bartenders. Of course we had no direct contact with the many, many behind the scenes workers but it all came together to make a memorable cruise.

This cruise line is just amazing. For my 1st cruise, I couldn’t be anymore pleased. It’s 10/10 at all level. The level of service on this cruise is top of the line- their Attention to detail, convenience, professionalism of the staff- just unparalleled. I want to especially send Kudos to Maitre-D Melvin, Waiter- Mr Erdic, Waiter—Mr Garsey, Waiter- Ms Zhang, cabin attendant- Ms Precious. Thank you to every staff member on board of this ship- they are simply amazing. My father worked for the carnival. Though he passed on, until I got on this cruise, I had no idea how hard he works. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to you all.

I am not an avid cruiser, but was highly impressed with the ship's layout, amenities, cleanliness, and most importantly, the crew's professionalism and congeniality. I would highly recommend and if I do go on another cruise, it will definitely be on Celebrity.

I truly think Celebrity listened to everyone’s comments and incorporated the best into their new ship, the Apex. Plenty of staff. Friendliest and most helpful staff. Well thought out design and features. I would highly recommend it.

The Apex is a beautiful ship and we had a fabulous time! We stayed in a Sky Suite as part of The Retreat and the level of service was exceptional. We have already booked another cruise in The Retreat on the Apex.
