It was our third time on the Fram. We enjoy the ship. We upgraded to a suite because our cabin (603) was very cramped.

Didn't deliver, weak communications

The cruise line started off badly by offering a rate at a trade show that, when we went to book through our agent the next day, they wouldn't honor. After some time, our excellent agent reached an acceptable result. What stood out about Hurtigruten was their poor communications. When asked to fill out a passenger info sheet (which I did), they said they couldn't find my booking. They wouldn't provide even a tentative itinerary for time of port arrival/departures or even provide boarding instructions (like ship location!) until our agent was able to get it from them several days before departure (and it was still wrong). Rough seas and a failed engine led to a cancellation at our first port of call. To Hurtigruten's credit, they offered a full cash refund which was appreciated. On the positive side, the ship's staff was excellent, especially the hotel staff. In spite of 9 meter swells, they continued to provide service with a great attitude!

I found the Fram to be very comfortable. The food was good, the service was great. I have no complaints.

Fabulous. The crew were always friendly, helpful, always at the ready. And that was everyone regardless there their responsibilities.
