Gatekeeper’s Day Spa

This year we have installed a building management system This KNX automation takes into account the occupancy sensors within the room to see if someone is present in the room, external ambient temperatures and time of year to automate the levels of the blinds, gas fires, air conditioning, lights and floor heating to ensure the rooms are un at the lowest possible energy consumption while ensuring the highest levels of guest comfort. The rooms have had the highest levels of insulation, enviro-glass installed to ensure lowest possible energy consumption.

We have installed low wattage LED lights in all areas, and ensure all staff are trained to be environmentally aware at all times. We also ensure everything is recycled as much as possible including as much of our food waste as possible to compost. Glass, plastic bottles, cans are all recycled.

We also believe that we have a responsibility to ensure we retain were possible history and culture surrounding the property for future South Australians. Over the past three years we researched, and published the history of the property from the original Aboriginal landowners right through to the property’s current custodians. We share this history and heritage daily during the tour, and from November all guests will receive a copy of the book to take home.
