Discover Mexico’s Yucatan Coast Away From The Crowds

Extending about 60 miles from Sian Ka’an to Xcalak, Costa Maya now boasts a cruise ship dock at Puerto Costa Maya, which has brought a bit of beachfront buzz to the once sleepy village of Mahahual. Yet Costa Maya still feels worlds apart from its northern neighbor, the bustling Riviera Maya. Head south of Mahahual towards Xcalak for secluded bays or west to explore the Mayan ruins of Chacchoben and Bacalar’s Lagoon of Seven Colors.
