About Us

The Savoy is part of London’s luxurious DNA.

London’s most celebrated and glamorous hotel, The Savoy, is perfectly placed on the banks of the River Thames and steps away from vibrant Covent Garden. The Savoy boasts 267 rooms and suites accompanied by some of the best restaurants in London. Kaspar’s Seafood Bar and Grill offers luxury all-day dining, and great British fixtures include the Savoy Grill and Simpson’s-in-the-Strand. The latest offering is Melba, a gourmet take-away counter located on the Strand.

Afternoon Tea continues as a grand tradition in the Thames Foyer, while Savoy Tea sells bespoke tea accessories. As day becomes night, the award winning Beaufort Bar provides a theatrical atmosphere and the American Bar harks back to the golden age of cocktails in the 1920’s.

THE SAVOY SUITE WELCOME - The luxury of a stay at The Savoy now begins before you check in. Guests booking Deluxe Junior Partial River View Suite or above will enjoy The Savoy Suite Welcome. In addition to our legendary Butler service guests will receive the pressing of one garment per person per stay, complimentary chauffeured car service to or from any London airport or rail station as well as local drop-off service within 3 mile radius of The Savoy.

The familiar restaurants and bars that helped The Savoy make its name have been given a splendid new life.

The Thames Foyer is the beating heart of the hotel and a light, airy yet intimate place for informal, all-day dining or to indulge in the famous, traditional afternoon tea.

Savoy Tea offers guests the opportunity to purchase the hotel’s own teas and tea accessories as well as watching the expert pastry chefs at work.

The Savoy Grill, a favourite of figures such as Sir Winston Churchill, now under the management of Gordon Ramsay, offers a menu featuring classic Grill dishes.

Another Savoy institution, American Bar, voted Virtuoso Best Bar in 2012, serves classic American cocktails while the Beaufort Bar, voted World's Best Hotel Bar in August 2015 and Best International Bar Team in 2016, is built on the hotel’s original cabaret stage, offers weekly Burlesque, nightly live entertainment and one of the widest choices of champagnes-by-the-glass.

For classic British cooking, Simpson’s in the Strand, famous for their roast beef and located just a few steps from the hotel.

The beautifully designed Fitness Gallery at The Savoy is situated on the 3rd floor above the historic Savoy Theatre. Directly beneath the central atrium, daylight filters down onto the swimming pool. Restore health and vitality in the gym and try the wide range of relaxing treatments and therapies on offer.Facilities at the fully-equipped Health Club.

Guest services and facilities also include Business Centre, available 24 hours a day, the Savoy Butler service, the Concierge desk, laundry services, florist, baby sitting, meeting space, wedding services, and more.

Best of the Best

Situated along the Thames in the heart of the West End, The Savoy is just steps away from the beauty of Covent Garden and within a short taxi or boat ride of renowned landmarks. This 267-room hotel has been totally revamped with a 21st-century sensibility, yet it retains its classic sense of glamour. Choose between Edwardian-style accommodations overlooking the water or art deco stylings with a view of the Strand; discreet butlers service all suites. The Savoy Grill received a bespoke facelift, and is joined by Kaspar’s Seafood Bar and Grill. Martinis and live jazz in the ageless American Bar will cap off the perfect evening.

Advisor Tip

There is nothing quite as civilized as a drink at The Savoy’s American Bar or Beaufort Bar. Cool, inviting atmosphere with a great vibe. –Dan Beschloss New York, New York

Royal Suite

Our Royal Suite, opened in July 2016, is the jewel in The Savoy’s crown of suites comprising an open-plan procession of rooms spanning the entire riverside of the fifth floor. Guests are afforded dramatic views from floor to ceiling windows over the River Thames and the awe-inspiring panorama that stretches from Canary Wharf to the Houses of Parliament and beyond, with seven of London’s bridges in sight.

The Royal Suite responds to the expectations of a modern luxury traveller and offers a residential style of accommodation that meets the desire to ‘live in the space as if living at home’. Titans of industry, world leaders, and visiting royalty, will enjoy an apartment-like space that not only represents the height of luxury, but that also reflects the style of home they would choose to reside in themselves.

The Royal Suite at The Savoy enhances the heart of the space and encourages harmonious flow between the rooms. The living spaces, whilst luxurious, reflect a comfortable and informal experience with a sitting room opening onto a living area with a private luxury bar clad with an exquisite rippled glass façade. A Morning Room provides the ideal intimate space for comfortable dining, and the bedroom has been designed for true indulgence; on top of a stately four-poster lies a hand-sprung mattress, each of its springs wound with cashmere wool. Positioned next to the bedroom is a spacious walk-in dressing room with cedar-lined wardrobes, large enough to accommodate even the keenest of fashionistas, and an impressive en-suite bathroom with deep Jacuzzi bathtub and invigorating steam shower.

The service kitchen is ideal for those travelling with a personal chef, but there is also a Savoy butler on hand 24-hours a day to cater exclusively to guests staying in The Royal Suite, combining the skills of a traditional private butler with the efficiency and knowledge of a modern day personal assistant.

To accommodate additional guests, the suite can be joined to a second, generously-proportioned guestroom with stunning views of London and an en-suite bathroom.

What a Treat

The Savoy is a beautiful hotel. It was refurbished recently and they did an outstanding job on it. They modernized it but kept the historical feel which makes it such a great hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed their high tea, and the room where it is held is absolutely beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay and our room very much. The service was great and the hotel is in a great location. Simpsons is not as good as remembered it - food didn't seem fresh or first rate.

Savoy Hotel

The Savoy is our favorite hotel in London. The service and staff are superb. Rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. The location of the hotel is amazing. Easy short walk to Covent Garden and the theatre district. A 10 minute walk to Trafalgar Sq and the National Gallery. So many first rate dining options nearby including Rules, the oldest serving resturant in London. The American Bar is very popular and there is lots of history associated with it. Dining in the hotel, weather a light lunch or full dinner is a treat. The full english breakfast can't be missed.

Our Favorite Hotel In London

What can I say? The Savoy is an amazing hotel. It is located in a great place in Central London close to the theater district, shopping and many attractions. The staff really pamper you; the food and drink is excellent and quite a variety. My wife loves the spa. We have stayed in many hotels in London over the years, but the Savoy is our favorite. We have stayed there now 3 years in a row and already have booked 4 nights in July 2018!

Wonderful Hotel, Room, Service

By: Worldtraveler

Reviewed on: 21 Aug 2017

Service is impeccable, rooms are well-appointed and well maintained, breakfast choices and quality are great, bars are wonderful, WIFI is fast. The views over the Thames and Cleopatra's Needle and London Eye are fabulous, both during the day and at night. Breakfast service can be, and often is, sluggish (think - 30 minutes wait from you sit down until they bring anything to drink); better in the restaurant than the cafe. The concierge was not as helpful as one could hope for. Over-all a great location and hotel.
