Can't say enough!!

From the moment we arrived at Sonora--via helicopter, no less--to the moment we left; we were so impressed with this gorgeous property in the Discovery Islands in British Columbia. The staff greets you by name during check-in; serves you a cocktail & a snack while you sign some paperwork and show you your room; where your luggage has already been placed! By the end of our first day, we were on a first name basis with most of the staff & both bartenders!! (Tim & Ryan) The second day, we met a fabulous server named Courtney, who took care of us in the dining room the rest of the trip. The property is beautiful with lots of hiking & there are "excursions" that you can book. We took a couple of them that were a lot of fun--kudos to Jennifer who was our "driver" on the boat. Food is amazing, rooms are gorgeous, weather is perfect. What more can you ask?!?! And did I mention the mini-bar is included in the price?!

Our vacation at Sonora Resort has been one of my family's favorite getaways. We felt very pampered. The excursions were fabulous. The food was incredible. They remembered all of my family members food allergies and even made special desserts for my daughter who is allergic to dairy. Our room was just right for our family needs. The only problem is that it will be hard to find another vacation spot so perfect.

One of the Best Properties Ever

Sonora is incomparable. The Sonora experience begins with a 48-minute helicopter ride from the Vancouver airport--over beautiful islands. When we arrived, we were greeted by the general manager and an incredible staff. We visited Sonora in late September, and were able to take the grizzly bear tour. During that tour, we got within 15-feet of grizzlies catching salmon. We had also informed the hotel staff that we were interested in the opportunity to see orcas. After the grizzly tour, one of the resort's guides was informed of orca activity in the area. He took us out and we had the chance to view nine orcas feed on a sea lion for 2.5 hours--an experience I will never forget. We also had the opportunity to watch humpback whales bubble feed! The food is incredible--I don't know what else to say about it. We felt as though we were eating at a Michelin Star restaurant for every single meal. The staff is so friendly and made our experience unforgettable. We will be back.
