About Us

The most iconic images associated with Montenegro are of the tiny islet named Sveti Stefan, a fortified village dating back to the 15th century. Today, the island’s cluster of sturdy stone buildings, together with Villa Miločer, a graceful stone residence across the bay, comprises the idyllic beachside resort of Aman Sveti Stefan.

The resort presents eight Suites at Villa Miločer and 51 Village Rooms, Cottages and Suites on the island, including the Sveti Stefan Suite, which has its own private swimming pool. Views are of the sea, rooftops or quaint courtyards and piazzas, depending on location. Every room, cottage and suite on the island is completely unique, as one would expect from a destination of centuries-old heritage.

Aman Sveti Stefan incorporates two kilometres of Adriatic coastline including the pink sandy beaches of Sveti Stefan, Miločer Beach and the renowned Queen’s Beach. Set back from Queen’s Beach is the resort’s standalone Aman Spa, surrounded by gardens and overlooking the sea. It offers four treatment suites, relaxation rooms, relaxation terracesand hydrotherapy rooms with saunas, cold plunge pools and steam showers, as well as extensive fitness facilities.

Aman Spa’s 24-metre indoor heated swimming pool extends outdoors for an additional eight metres, while the spa’s Fitness Centre includes a Pilates studio, a yoga studio and a comprehensive 140-square-metre gym. There is also a small gym on the island, along with six spa cottages.

In addition to Aman Spa’s swimming pool on the mainland, Aman Sveti Stefan offers two swimming pools on the island. The resort’s main lap pool is located on the lower terrace on the west side of the island, while the second is set on a cliff overlooking the Adriatic Sea.

At Villa Miločer, the Dining Room, loggia terrace and living room feature simple, elegant menus driven by fresh produce and locally-caught seafood.

The island of Sveti Stefan itself provides diverse dining options in a uniquely atmospheric setting – the Piazza. This open-air square is the heart and soul of the island, featuring a number of dining venues including a taverna, an enotecaand an antipastibar. Also located on the island are: Rakija Bar; the Upper Terrace with its superb views; the Cliff Pool and ARVA, Aman's tribute to the earthy, heart-warming dishes of Italy at select Amans worldwide. From October to May, the Island and its restaurants, including Arva, are closed.

As with all Aman properties, Aman Sveti Stefan provides guests with personalised guided excursions to natural and cultural attractions in the area – both along the Montenegrin coast and into the spectacular interior of the country. These include boating on the Adriatic, visiting the old town of Budva and the beautifully preserved baroque city of Perast, discovering peaceful Skadar Lake and exploring the Bay of Kotor, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Other activities on offer include cycling, bird watching and water sports.

Best of the Best

Aman Sveti Stefan is at the center of Montenegro’s Adriatic coastline, on a unique site featuring more than a mile of beachfront (which includes three beaches), and breathtaking views of the sea, across the bay and along Montenegro’s most renowned stretch of coastline. The resort offers 51 guestrooms, cottages and suites on the island and eight suites at Villa Milocer. All rooms are decorated in a subtly elegant fashion; they provide every modern comfort while retaining the historic air and ambience of the island and the Villa. The resort has diverse dining options in an atmospheric setting reminiscent of its fabled past.

My wife's, brother's and sister in law's favorite hotel they have ever stayed at - and by a wide margin. It gives you the chance to relax while being immersed in history and serenity. Truly, one of a kind.

Beautiful location, service not up to the Aman standard

By: Low Hedgerow

Reviewed on: 22 Sep 2019

We would recommend the Aman Sveti Stefan but only with serious reservations. It's a unique property and very beautiful. Our room (38) was wonderful but be warned, it's about 110 steep stone steps from the bridge to the room. Definitely a challenge. The Queen's Beach and the Spa are magical. Very good food and wine at all resort restaurants. I can also say that the beach manager was great and he was the only person who seemed to be working at the Aman. The rest of the staff? Sullen, unhelpful, distracted, argumentative. When room service orders arrived incorrectly they were only grudgingly remedied. We were told the boat ran from the jetty to the beach all day (it does not, make sure to call down ahead of time). Go for the location but do not expect Aman service.
