About Us

Located in the city's Gold Coast and just steps from the Magnificent Mile, Four Seasons Hotel Chicago is located in an iconic tower, one of the city’s tallest, offering unrivaled guest room views of Lake Michigan and the skyline. One of the most revered hotels in the city, Four Seasons has received a Forbes Five Star rating for 22 years and AAA Five Diamond Award for 27 years.

The hotel’s newly renovated 185 suites and 160 guest rooms infuse residentially-inspired palettes and décor with a Chicago-centric sophistication. When entering the redesigned rooms, one immediately notices the textured, deep blue walls and the custom-designed carpet in warm, grayish blues that mimics the waves of nearby Lake Michigan. Drawing exclusively from regional artists, especially from the faculty and alumni at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, new artwork adorns the walls and corridors.

Frequently named a top dining destination in the Gold Coast, Allium Restaurant showcases contemporary American cuisine created by Executive Chef Michael Zachman and team. Allium Bar, known as a place to be seen in downtown Chicago, is an intimate lounge with hand-crafted cocktails and premium spirits.

At 8,000 square feet, The Spa is an urban oasis with a 50-foot Roman-style indoor pool, steam rooms, whirlpool and fitness center. Performed by experienced therapists and estheticians, locally-inspired treatments include the Lake Shore Hydrating Facial and Shoreline Satin Shimmer.

With 23,757 square feet of dedicated conference and banquet facilities, Four Seasons Hotel Chicago has been downtown’s destination for extraordinary events since its opening. With high ceilings, sparkling chandeliers and a dramatic staircase, the elegant Grand Ballroom is versatile for an array of events at 7,700 square feet.

Best of the Best

Discover this energetic urban retreat, just steps from vibrant Michigan Avenue and only an elevator ride away from one of Chicago's premier shopping centers. Each of the 345 guestrooms, including 185 suites, offers Lake Michigan and skyline views. Explore the modern art in the chic lobby and delight in creative and contemporary fare at Allium Restaurant & Bar. Refresh at the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, enjoy a relaxing sauna or plunge into the scenic Roman Column swimming pool. The Ice Cream Man, Kids Clubroom, Martini Man and Complimentary House Car Service make this hotel an ideal destination for all travelers.

Advisor Tip

Let the hotel’s “Martini Man” come to your room and mix your own custom drink as a welcome amenity. –Louisa Gehring Cincinnati, Ohio

Outstanding

The hotel was simply outstanding. The customer service was beyond belief. I truly felt liek my needs were anticiapted and everyone immediately knew who I was - when I asked for a replacement key, teh agent said,  "No worries, sir, I  remember your Florida driver's license"The  food at ethe restaurtant was delicious and the staff was very attentive.I had a spa treatment, by a Polish woman who had been there 11 years (I forget her name) - words cannot describe the utter bliss and complete relaxation afforded me during that treatment. The Four Seasons is my new Chicago hotel of choice.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location

By: Kara724

We love staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. The hotel is beautiful. Our children love the indoor pool and children's play room. We love the attentive staff and luxurious rooms. The location is perfect for sightseeing and shopping - right across from the John Hancock building, adjoining one shopping center, and a short block away from WaterTower Shopping Center. There are wonderful restaurants and shops all around. In the summer, we could easily walk to the nearby beach. The staff prepared a wagon and some sand toys for our children when we went. I would highly recommend this hotel for a perfect stay in Chicago.

Luxury on the Magnificent Mile

By: 808travelista

Reviewed on: 08 Jan 2015

I spent Thanksgiving week with my 2 children at the Four Seasons Chicago and had a wonderful stay. Our room was spacious and looked onto Lake Michigan with the Magnificent Mile below our window. For families, the hotel has several fun programs available (pizza making in the kitchen and visits from the ice cream man), a guest room which has been converted into a kids play room with air hockey, wii, tons of books and board games and, toys, and the gorgeous indoor pool area is the perfect respite from cold days in the city. The service at the hotel was good, really exceptional service at the restaurant, Allium. Virtuoso benefits at the FS Chicago are fantastic and ensured we all had a memorable stay.

Beautiful but With Flaws

By: RMA16

Reviewed on: 05 Dec 2016

The hotel itself is beautiful with a prime location that is steps away from the Magnificent Mile and other coveted Chicago attractions. The lobby as well as the Allium restaurant are very breathtaking. Rooms were basic and left more to be desired (we had Executive Suites). Dining quality is excellent. Staff on the most part have a friendly demeanor. While staff are friendly, many of them did not appear to go out of the way to help guests. We had issues with a few staff members not being responsive/receptive and noticed other guests with similar issues. When this was brought to management's attention it was brushed off. Overall- go for the looks of the hotel and the ambience/restaurant. If staff issues commonly bother you, head to the Peninsula.

Amazing Property and Staff

Great location for a winter getaway - just steps from shopping on Michigan Avenue and a quick Uber from the holiday lights at Lincoln Park or the Christmas market at Daly Plaza. The staff was so great to our family - especially the kids (age 9 and 11). They greeted them by name and had robes and gifts for them on the bed when we checked in. Every night they had snacks waiting for them in the room. Very nice touches!

We had an awesome time at the Four Seasons Chicago. Our room was incredibly large, and the facilities for kids were amazing. From the pool, to the play room, to the buffet train at dinnertime not to mention the easter weekend activities. There was always plenty to do and the staff made an extra effort to get to know the kids and make them feel special. We will definitely be back.
