Loved the location and personal attention of the staff.  Concierge was prompt in getting us a driver and tour of The Hague.  Spacious rooms and lovely decor.  Bar/Cafe outdoor seating was cozy and inviting next to the Amstel River.  Spent 1 night before our river cruise and 2 nights after our cruise.  Felt like home.

The Hotel De L'Europe Amsterdam is extremely luxurious. The rooms contain every comfort for the guests, from luxurious linens and beautiful furnishings to automatic subdued night lighting at your feet and heated bathroom floors. The concierge was very helpful and approachable, the wait staff in all 3 restaurants were attentive and well trained without being intrusive. Hotel De L'Europe has the ideal location for a great trip to Amsterdam. Plus, their 2-star Michelin restaurant (Bord'eau) was phenomenal. Concierge service was great (they were able to get tickets to a sold-out show for us), and the rooms are quiet, nicely-appointed, and convenient. All of our requests were met with courtesy and success. We definitely would go back.

The De L'Europe is a stately, lovely hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. Our room featured a writing desk situated in a bay window overlooking a canal as well as french doors opening to a balcony over the canal. Very elegant! The room and bath were spacious and graciously appointed. Concierge and front desk personnel were all helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very very good hotel

By: atlanta anne

Reviewed on: 26 Jul 2018

We stayed at the De L'Europe at the end of a three week vacation. The hotel is very nice and for the most part extremely excellent service. The elevator is quirky in that you have to request the elevator and request which way you want to go. But once you figure that out, it is fine. The concierge are very good. My biggest complaint has to do with the lobby bar in the evenings. Not only do you have to look for anyone to take your order, they never wipe off the tables. They will eventually pick up the dishes but some how never wipe off the tables so all the tables have rings and crumbs on them. It is a beautiful lobby in which to have a drink after dinner. The room was very nice - I just wish this hotel like many particularly in Europe would not just put two twin beds together to make a king bed. Sometimes the twin beds are not of the same firmness i.e.one will have been used more than the other.

We arrived at 3pm, and had to leave by 7am the following day, but it was truly a treat! We enjoyed every second of our beautiful room with an upgrade without request, cookies and fruit in our room, the check-in was divine, the dinner experience was seven stars, and only to curl up to a wonderfully cozy bed afterwards was just simply magic. I will stay here every single time without question! Well done De L'Europe Amsterdam!
