About Us

Overlooking beautiful Hulopo'e Bay, Lana'i by Four Seasons offers an innovative vision of a Hawaiian resort, a perfect base to explore your own 90,000 acre island. Experience modern luxury at its most sophisticated, discover remarkable variety for dining and drinks and explore an astonishing range of landscapes with activities to match. There’s so much to do, you can create the Lana'i that’s perfect for you.

On Hawaii’s smallest inhabited island, you won’t find a single stop light. Rush hour at the Blue Ginger Café resembles a family reunion, as friends and neighbours share greetings of “aloha” over breakfast. Stretches of wild coastline hug a landscape of Cook Island pine forests and rocky, arid plains. And spinner dolphins outnumber snorkellers in Hulopoe Bay.

Unspoiled, easy-going and endlessly beautiful, this is the Hawaii captured in vintage postcards – part adventure and part romance, with opportunities to experience local culture at every turn. At Four Seasons Resort Lanai, perched on the southern coast, you’ll experience the best of the island and best weather year round. Venture into Lanai City to shop local boutiques, play a round of golf on a Jack Nicklaus Signature championship course, relax at the pools, beach and Spa, dine at fabulous Nobu, Malibu Farm or One Forty. Explore the island’s stunning terrain on horseback, Jeep 4x4, hike or Polaris UTV, set sail for a catamaran on the blue Pacific Ocean or adventure by helicopter for breathtaking views of this magical island.

Whether you’re seeking an outdoor adventure, a romantic escape or a cultural discovery, you’ll find it on Lanai. Much like in an active country-club setting, your every leisure, sport and business need will be met by our exceptional Lanai resort amenities and attentive staff. Whether you crave a day at the beach or an upcountry adventure, Lanai offers a range of activities both on land, in the air and on the water. Hawaii’s private island of Lanai rewards visitors with unique experiences available only in this picture-perfect tropical paradise.

Best of the Best

Four Seasons Resort Lana'i is a gateway to an exotic, private paradise where opportunities for adventure and relaxation abound. Upon arrival, you’ll find elegant yet innovative guestrooms, a variety of restaurants including NOBU LANAI, a spa and wellness program, high-end retail stores and a gorgeously landscaped pool oasis. Guests can explore a 90,000-acre destination offering a variety of land, ocean and air activities, affording a uniquely curated escape. Activities range from horseback riding, off-roading tours, sporting clays and archery to snorkel and sailing adventures, as well as tennis, championship golf and more.

Advisor Tip

Fabulous! Our family of six loved this place! We had 3 - sixteen year olds and 1-eighteen year old. They did not want to leave. If we get back to Hawaii - we will definitely visit this resort again! Many worried there was not much to do - disagree - granted there is really no where to go late night - who wants to! The service is the some of the best my husband and I have ever experienced from around the globe. Our connecting rooms were so spacious. The food at all the restaurants - amazing. The beach & snorkeling - awesome! The salt water pool's view and food service spoiled us all as we traveled next to Maui. The sunset cruise set up by the resort was wonderful... I could go on and on. Thank you!

This resort has it all. If you can afford it and want a few days in paradise, this is for you. The breakfasts alone are worth the visit. The rooms are lovely and private; the service is perfect, no one is overbearing but they will do anything for you; the restaurants are excellent, the beach is fantastic and well-stocked with beach equipment such as chairs, umbrellas, and snorkel gear; the one excursion we took was excellent. I can't say enough. I'd love to go back.

Best experience staying at a resort: most hospitable staff, excellent food at Nobu and One-Forty, best breakfast buffet selection, cleanest hotel - in room and outside (pool, beach, walkways, etc), beautiful golf course, best pre-arrival team (wonderful they have a private lounge at HNL airport). Hotel did not feel crowded at all at any point in time. Overall, they have a well-trained, well-mannered staff. Worth visiting again and again!

Hawaiian Honeymoon

By: cstreich

Reviewed on: 17 Jun 2018

We recently stayed at the Four Seasons Lanai for our honeymoon. I had visited the resort about a decade earlier when it first became a four seasons, but in the interim, it has undergone an extensive remodel. I am pleased to report that the hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room was both gorgeous and had a beautiful ocean view. There are numerous activities to keep you busy... We especially loved the golf course with ocean vistas on ever hike. I would recommend booking the Love Lanai package which gives you unlimited activities for a slightly higher daily rate. My only complaint with the resort would be the variety of restaurants. While the two main ones, Nobu and One Forty, were both quite good, after a few days you might start to feel the lack of choices. Overall, it was a fantastic resort to visit and we will definitely return someday in the future.

Lana'i Trip

By: Jay

Reviewed on: 13 Aug 2018

Rooms: the ocean view upgrade was very much appreciated. It was beautiful to wake up and go to sleep looking at the ocean. Amenities: The pool and pool service were great. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The little drinks they offered and services were great. Activities: The activities themselves were very fun. However, we were advised to book through the app - and the app didn't really work. It was quite frustrating trying to book certain windows for events and then seeing "pending" for the duration of our trip. Plus the app calendar didn't sync up with what we were scheduled to book, so we were a bit confused during our first couple of days. F&B: the breakfast buffet was amazing, and one of the highlights of the trip. The assortment and freshness of food was awesome! However, we were slightly frustrated with our Nobu experience. The reservation service+food was not on par with what we have experienced in other Nobu. Overall, we loved our stay and would book again!

We had a great time!

By: Tom

Reviewed on: 02 Nov 2018

After visiting Maui and Oahu we had been recommended to visit Lanai and we are so glad we did. It felt like we were finally visiting Hawaii as we expected it to be and the staff, grounds, room and food were all extremely impressive. We travelled with our two girls (2 1/2 and 1) and they both had a fantastic time in the pool, hot tub, on the beach, chatting away to the birds with Bruno and enjoying great food. We too, had a great time and felt extremely relaxed. While the hotel didn’t seem to have the same ‘personalised’ experience that we’ve experienced at other Four Seasons properties, it still had a very exclusive feel, and the staff always went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. The Lanai Air experience was totally worth it and we would highly recommend taking this chartered flight both ways! If you’re looking for a relaxing, peaceful break with incredible scenery and views. Lanai is the place for you!

The shuttle transportation from Lanai airport to the resort was very lacking for both me and my travel companion who arrived at 2 different times. When I arrived there was no one in the airport lobby to great me. I walked around then went outside to find an empty resort shuttle. 10 minutes later the shuttle driver came out to apologize. I was the only passenger.... My companion had the same experience, only worse. when the driver finally showed up, he had no record of her name was was not going to transport her despite prior arrangements and confirmation of her flight, and name. Once at the resort, she had a difficult time getting to the room because of the same scenario, no record of her name, etc. This was unacceptable.

Beautiful property but....

Reviewed on: 08 Mar 2019

For the most part we had a wonderful stay but there were some glitches that I would not have expected at a Four Seasons. Our first day, just minutes before our spa appointments, we were advised that one the therapists did not show up and therefore one of the massages was cancelled. Later that evening when we ordered room service, when the food arrived we were told that the entrees we ordered were not available so they only brought us our appetizers and sides. In both cases the resort compensated us for the inconvenience but it was still very disappointing. Other than those glitches, we had a nice stay — the property is lovely (but the pools are a bit small) and the restaurants are wonderful.

Beautiful! Breathtaking! We loved the island. We loved the people. We loved, loved, loved the hotel. The staff could not be more accommodating, attentive, helpful and friendly. Every detail was impeccable and beyond compare. All the restaurants on the property were outstanding. And the breakfast (thank you because of your alliance ) was executed so well. The buffet is there, but there are also a selection of hot items (which are included) to be ordered directly from the kitchen. Each and every morning we were greeted by the host, the server, the manager and the dolphins. Who could ask for more? As I told John, out of the ball park! I wish we would have listened to him sooner, as he has suggested this property on two other occasions. We would most definitely return! P.S. Great hiking trails around the property as well.

Excellent Four Seasons Lana'i

I really loved the Lana'i Four Seasons. It is beautiful and very private as the rooms are quite spread out. The rooms and tropical landscaping are stunning. We had an excellent dinner at Nobu and fantastic pre-dinner cocktails at the Sports Bar. Our room rate included the activity package and we went on the sunset cruise, morning snorkeling as well as the UTV ride which the concierge booked prior to our arrival. Everything was well organized and professionally run. The boat trips included unlimited cocktails and substantial lunch or snacks. The hotel also had a complimentary shuttle which we took on our last night to/from the city of Lana'i to have dinner at the Lana'i City Grill. Our stay of two nights was perfect for us.

My husband and I stayed at the Four Seasons Resort Lana'i for our honeymoon a few weeks back and were completely blown away... from the beauty of the resort itself to the pools to the food to the service, everything is top notch and of the highest standard. We were so upset when it was time to leave. We wanted to stay forever! Highly recommend Four Seasons Resort to anyone traveling to Lana'i.

We loved the four seasons. Very relaxing environment. We did the activity package and so glad we did. Golf, sunset sail, & off roaring was such a blast! Delicious restaurants! If you’re looking to just relax and get away, this is the place to go.

We had a great time at this hotel but the food was really bad. All the experiences were great and so was Hawaii. However, I was really floored by how bad the food was and how good it was at Hualalai.

Lana’i is small but that should not Keep anybody from visiting. The island is beautiful, full of history and Aloha. The resort is spectacular, with a first-rate staff, great restaurants and a wide variety of island activities for guests to enjoy. We can’t wait to return.
