Belgravia One Bedroom Suite

Sumptuously stylish suites

Prepare to make yourself at home. Internationally acclaimed British designer Russell Sage had six historic silks rewoven by The Gainsborough Silk Company for the walls of The Belgravia Suites, originally these silks were from the British Embassy in Paris, The Music Room at London’s Lancaster House and Bute House in Edinburgh, the official residence of the First Minister of Scotland.

The closer you look the more you will discover, each Belgravia Suite has an entrance hall leading to an elegant sitting room where you will find a handsome marble fireplace and light streaming in onto deep comfortable sofas.

As you would expect the well-proportioned bedrooms are exquisite with hand-made furniture in birds-eye maple, mahogany and walnut - all bespoke of course. The large marble bathrooms have separate walk-in showers and some have flat-screen TVs.

Suite guests are treated to all The Goring has to offer including service from the hotel’s magnificent scarlet coated footmen and an in-room cocktail service at cocktail o'clock each evening.

The Royal Suite

Undoubtedly one of the most prestigious suites in London, The Royal Suite at The Goring is a unique find.

The three room suite stretches across the whole length of the top floor and overlooks the private gardens. Spectacular Royal Gainsborough silks have been used in all parts of the suite. The Drawing Room and Dining Room are in the palette of powder blues whilst the bedroom is Champagne pink and a sage green silk from a pattern first woven in 1910.

The bedroom’s en suite bathroom consists of unmitigated luxury mixed with the latest technology. A large walk-in shower accompanies an equally large marble bath complete with a built-in TV screen.

A balcony offers magnificent panoramic views and floor to ceiling French windows in each of the rooms open up onto this magical space with its romantic views over The Goring Garden and the rooftops beyond. Our largest and most splendid suite is a unique combination of elegance and comfort, perfect for those seeking the Royal Goring Experience.

The Goring is a wonderful little oasis in the middle of bustling London. It has the largest private garden in all of London; the Tea was rated best in 2013 in London; close to Victoria Station. The service is unmatched, the food excellent as well.

We have now stayed at THE GORING three times, and we will definitely return on any trip to London. The hotel is intimate, elegant, personalized, charming, and warm. Every employee takes ownership; there are many long-time staff members who take enormous pride in their work. The Dining Room is particularly delightful. The hotel is located within walking distance to Victoria Station (trains and tube station), two major theatres - The Victoria Palace and the Apollo Victoria (now showing BILLY ELLIOTT and WICKED), Buckingham Palace, and the Mall. I cannot wait until we can return to our home away from home - THE GORING in London.

What can I say about a place with the highest standards and customer service. I did not think the continental breakfast was going to be enough, but it was perfect. The room was small, but quaint and very well done. The concierge was patient and extremely helpful. The doormen knew our names by the second day. The gym is a 1.5 mile to 2 mile run, but is nice. They even helped with a gym bag and water. It was so nice to know you had good friends in new places.

The Most Fantastic Hotel I Have Ever Stayed In

The Goring is Magical! The location- perfect right near Buckingham Palace. The food - divine. The breakfasts are very good & the bar food was delicious & served 24 hrs! The front desk- Amazing. Everyone of the front staff knew our name & eventually our room number. They went above and beyond to help us & make sure our stay was perfect. And it was. The Concierge was so friendly, helpful & knowledgeable (especially Patrick). The wait staff was very efficient & accommodated our requests. The Doorman - I am in love with Peter (he's been there 50 years) and he is now my Boyfriend. The Room- OMG! We had the "Most Splendid Garden" room that faced the second largest private garden in London other than Buckingham Palace & had our breakfasts on the balcony. If you can afford it- do it. It's magical & you are treated like royalty. Cocktails daily were put in our room, housekeeping was great. We will definitely return to London and stay tat the Goring & in the same room again !

The Goring is as traditional “old school” London as it gets! From the reception to the bar and the fine dining you won't be disappointed if you are looking for vintage London and great service. The food was five star with the Beef Wellington recommenced highly. Breakfasts were very good traditional English, but I would opt for adding some new healthier options as well. Rooms were well appointed and beautifully furnished and the garden view was beautiful. Our complimentary cocktail service was a nice touch. Our only complaint about the bathrooms was the step in the middle which is quite awkward and is easy to trip and twist an ankle. I would recommend placing a hand rail or at least a “mind the step” sign!
