every once in a while you take a chance on something and it turns out way better than your highest expectations.i would consider a stay at the chateau to be a must if you are visiting the loire valley. on that list of must things to do is dinner with the count and countessa, a magical evening. while it helps to have your own transportation arrangements can be made to tour the countryside surrounding the chateau. it is a bit remote. only regret is we only stayed two nights instead of more.
