We are committed to honoring and preserving this land and its Native American heritage. Boynton Canyon was first inhabited over 3,000 years ago and has gone through a succession of habitations by Native American tribes. Historians believe the cliff dwellings in the canyon were created by the Sinagua Indians about 900 A.D. In more modern times, while there are several accounts of possible first owners and residents, there is one factual owner who was given a homestead grant by President Harding in 1922 and there have been several owners since then. So the canyon has a very long history of human habitation and we, being the most current inhabitants, continue that history with a very clear understanding of the important role we play in maintaining this very precious environment. While we do this in many ways, there are two major components of that mission: One is our greening program, the other is our partnership with both the National Forest Service and with the local Native American tribes.

Love The Enchantment!

By: LAK1976

Reviewed on: 22 Sep 2015

We have been guests at the Enchantment several times now and we will continue to return as this is one of our new favorite spots. Our room was great, spa was amazing and the beauty of the outdoors is just breathtaking. We always take advantage of classes and organized activities during our stay and we just love them (mat pilates really kicked my butt!) The only issues we ever encounter at Enchantment is pool drink service. It was awful two of the days we stayed and then great on the other two. It's extremely hit and miss whether you will be served, the server will be polite and helpful or will completely be ignored. We are looking forward to returning to Enchantment soon!

I wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful trip to Sedona. The Enchantment Resort was fantastic. I loved the location up in the canyon; it was much better for us than in town. I took advantage of their complimentary yoga, hiking and wine tasting programs. My father and son did the watercolor workshop. We appreciated the Virtuosos amenities namely the breakfast and spa credit. I was grateful for the golf cart shuttle as it helped my dad get around. All in all it was a perfect get away. Thank you!

Review of recent stay at resort

By: John

Reviewed on: 29 May 2017

It was very pleasant and enjoyable. The desk, check-in, gift shop, housekeeping, and maintenance staff were all very friendly and efficient. The food was generally very good, especially in the "fine dining" restaurant. The food service, however, was not good, and certainly not what I expected. The staff was nice, but, in my opinion, they were not trained well, and inexperienced. It made for a "less than expected" dining experience.

The hotel was first class, as is always with the accommodations recommended by Roz. We had problem with the room after the first night, but they upgraded us into a magnificent suite, which was twice the size of ours and typically cost more than twice as much, but they moved us in at the same price. The food was excellent and the golf course (Seven Canyons) was a mixed challenge, but in great shape. Only problem was the absence of reliable cell phone service, but that was to be expected when you are in a magnificent red rock canyon. The views were truly amazing and overpowering. Roz and AllWorld always comes through for us and always will.

Needs Attention

By: Bonnie K.

Reviewed on: 06 Aug 2018

he Enchantment staff changed our room when we were unhappy with the first one, which somewhat redeemed the experience. Our initial location was quite far from the main centers of activity, was a bit dark and musty, and overlooked a porta john and construction materials. We found the service in the wine bar to be indifferent, and the room we moved to had a major crack in the sink. We also felt nickeled and dimed by the numerous signs in the room informing us that every single thing was available for sale. At this price point, I would think that water would be provided, and, while I understand the ecological sensitivity, it was inconvenient to traipse around the property looking for water stations. We had to follow up in order to receive the Virtuoso credits for the breakfast and spa. That said, Mi Amo Spa was GREAT! Beautiful spa, great staff, fantastic food, loved the treatments. Skip The Enchantment and stay at MI Amo.
