a grande dame, well worth the 5-star rating. having Virtuoso connections helped immensely. We were upgraded twice to a front-facing, larger room. Staff very helpful, almost obsequious. Free internet and wonderful breakfast buffet included. Only potential concern is that it's not centrally located, perhaps a half-hour(mile and a half) walk to major attractions, e.g. Duomo, Quadrilatero D'Oro, La Scala. We didn't mind at all, considred it our workout for the day.

Although Principe is a city hotel, and certainly has its share of business travelers and vacationers like ourselves, every person we encountered treated us like we were their only guests. From the concierge to the restaurant and housekeeping staff and front desk, always a smile and wonderful courtesy extended to my wife and I. The hotel is so beautiful and tucked into a quiet little corner but convenient to everything we wanted to experience in Milan. We highly recommend it.

Upgraded room a distinct pleasure to be provided. Dining and beverage options quite nice. Acanto, the on-site fine dining is on par with NY City in terms of quality, presentation and service. Our thanks to Michele Testino and his staff. Overall a very fine property.

We were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco in the room when we arrived along with a personal note from the hotel manager. The room was amazing and we had a great view from the 2 separate balconies. The bathroom was spacious and refined. The lobby, breakfast area, and bar were all great atmospheres. Because of the virtuoso amenities, we received free breakfast each day (€45 per person per day value) and were even able to have breakfast in our room for only the service cost of room service (€15). The amenities also included €100 discount on the entire stay. The value was very good for this property. It is also located near to the city center if you feel like walking less than 15 minutes, but they offer a limo to the center every 20 minutes during the day and into early evening. I recommend this property.

Good Experience, But A Little Rough Around the Edges

By: demattia

We had a great experience at Hotel Principe Di Savoia, but there's definiteley room for approvement. There was room service carts left in the hallway for hours on end, and the servicing of the rooms was a little uneven. We had booked two rooms, but were given rooms on floors 5 and 8, which was less than optimal of course. We had dinner in Acanto which was excellent, as was the service. The breakfast was also very good, but service a little more uneven. The location is at the edge of the center, but they do offer a complimentary limousine to a couple of very centrally located spots. We walked everywhere, and it took about 15-20 minutes to get to the main sights.

We really liked the Principe Hotel but it was a little fussy for our taste. We did have an amazing check in experience with "Victoria". Super responsive!
