  Fonteverde now offers cryotherapy in synergy with the benefits of its thermal waters and treatments. It consists of exposure to extremely low temperatures - around minus 85° centigrade - for very short periods of time in a special cabin.

  The treatment triggers a powerful response in the circulatory system, it assists rapid recovery after playing sports, and it reduces inflammation and joint and muscle pain. It also facilitates weight loss, causes the body to burn calories, accelerates the basal metabolic rate, and tones the skin by increasing collagen production.

  The new benefit of this recently added treatment at Fonteverde is the special synergy of cryotherapy with the heat of thermal water that together boost the effectiveness of the treatment and stimulate vascular exercises, improve blood micro circulation, and trigger the release of endorphins, promoting a feeling of general well being.

  The spring waters at Fonteverde have a very ancient history. They are the same waters from the same springs that the wonderful Etruscan and Roman votive bronze statues rediscovered at San Casciano have silently guarded for countless centuries.

  We have organised a special circuit at our spa to let you experience all the thrills and the wisdom of the history of these thermal baths.

  It begins in the large panoramic pool, relaxing in a jacuzzi that looks out over the surrounding landscape. It continues in the steam baths, as you float weightlessly in a saltwater pool, in the warm embrace of a salt crystal bed, and in the wellness of the aroma-infused thermal mud ritual.

  It is a circuit filled with sensations and emotions that uses the senses and history to connect you with a fascinating timeless world.
