London Ritz

Not as luxurious as we anticipated or expected. Our accommodations were ok, furniture old, as expected, however, we could not close the drapery at night because the side ropes would not budge. We asked the night maid to draw the drapery and she had to manually pull the drapery closed without using the side ropes. She said she would report it, but nothing was done. The sink faucets in the bathroom did not permit a full flow of water and made air noises. The water in the shower fluctuated from hot to cool and back. On the other hand, the porters, reception desk, and concierge personnel were totally professional and we felt special. Our restaurant experience was not so special, not when we were kept waiting between servings. We had to finally ask for the dessert menu and then wait again for it to be served. In fact, we had to remind the waiter that we were still waiting, and meanwhile people who came in after us were already departing. This is the Ritz?
