About Us

In much more than name, Rocco Forte Hotels is the Forte family. At its head are Sir Rocco, his sister Olga and his three children. Behind it are four generations of Forte hoteliers. It is in every way a family business; a shared love evident. in every Rocco Forte hotel – each exuding the Forte’s innate Anglo-Italian style, sophistication and warmth.

Hotel Amigo – their iconic Brussels base – has all the hallmarks of a Rocco Forte hotel. Its team exhibit their signature tailor-made

service, whether entertaining a family in the Tintin Suite or catering to royalty on the Armand Blaton Suite’s rooftop terrace. Its design, by Olga Polizzi, blends a modern sensibility with an homage to the hotel’s home. An important art collection reflects the city’s creative scene; Flemish furnishings and chocolates honour its address.

Part of the city’s fabric for 500 years, the Amigo presides over Brussels’s charming cultural centre by the Grand Place. Windows

look up to the Hôtel de Ville’s spire, medieval cobbled streets below wind their way to the Mont des Arts or Le Sablon’s antiques, and locals wind their way here to take a seat at the Amigo’s much-loved Ristorante Bocconi – testament to its place as a pillar of its town.

Best of the Best

Hotel Amigo is set among the cobbled streets of Brussels, just around the corner from the picturesque Grand Place, one of the most beautiful squares in the world. It's a place where history is mixed with contemporary charm, just like Brussels. It's a place where service is understated and warm - we remain true to our name.

Advisor Tip

The hotel is a cozy gem, just steps behind the Grand Place and in the center of all of the action in Brussels. –Nancy Cutter Charlotte, North Carolina

Luxury experience in Brussels

By: Christophe

Reviewed on: 18 Feb 2015

The Amigo in Brussels is a luxury heaven in the center of Brussels. The staff is full of small attentions, the property is very comfortable, and the food is extraordinary. Oh, and not forgetting the perfect location, very near to Gare du Midi and just behind the central Place. A must in Brussels!

This Stay Was Not Good

By: Joshua S

Reviewed on: 13 May 2017

I have been staying at the Hotel Amigo for the last 10 years and have likely stayed there at least 20 times. This time I booked through Valerie Wilson Travel to get the Virtuoso benefits. While they did recognize my booking as a Virtuoso one, no upgrade was provided whatsoever, the room was small, the bed not comfortable at all, it sank in the middle and on the sides. Hotel said they had no firmer mattresses, they did bring up a small board, but it did not help. Bathroom was very small, could not even open the door all the way. No soap was left at turn down, water was not replenished, refrigerator did not work, A/C not working well, room service left off items. Moreover, the hotel refused an early check-in without payment of an additional 150.00 so total for one night for the small room with no upgrade was 400.00. They claimed they were full, but when I was there they were not full at all. Overall not a good stay. That said location is good, so might need to sadly stay again.

Lovely Hotel

This hotel was very nicely appointed and comfortable. It was also extremely well located right on the square. The night we stayed there, there was a walloonian cultural concert on the near bye square which was a fun diversion and amazingly not a detriment to our sleep as the room was virtually sound proof with the windows sealed. The restaurant is a bit pricey for the quality though perhaps we are spoiled coming from one of the world's best food cities.

What a magnificent hotel. Great location right in the old town with no traffic, pedestrian traffic only. Have to mention the team at the Concierge desk. They were very knowledgable and lots of fun. The restaurant at the hotel is also very good and the staff very polished and professional.
