Spoil yourself and your family at the FS Whistler

By: 808travelista

We are regular visitors to Whistler for family ski trips, but this was the first time we stayed at the Four Seasons Whistler. While not as convenient as staying in Whistler Village, the hotel makes up for it with frequent shuttle service and on-demand Mercedes SUV service to Whistler Village. The Ski Concierge is located at the base of Blackcomb Mountain and starting the day from there is MUCH less crowded than starting from the Whistler gondola! The hotel has so many family friendly treats and activities. We had a great time being spoiled by the staff and will stay there again next year.

My wife and I recently spent 2 nights at this beautiful property to celebrate our anniversary. Upon check-in we were upgraded to a top floor premium room in a very quiet section of the hotel. The staff and food at this resort are amazing. Top notch! If you want to see some spectacular scenery in British Columbia visit this property.

The Resort was beautiful and accommodating. We enjoyed the pool, checkers in the lobby, and chess outside. Our view was breathtaking and the suite we stayed in was perfect for our family. The staff took us to the village at a moments notice any time we wanted to go. It was perfect!

Our stay at Four Seasons was more than I could have hoped for. We received incredible service from the staff that consistently went above and beyond, including special anniversary desserts, turn-down service every night, and extremely high standards in all the amenities. We couldn’t have asked for a better 10 year anniversary getaway, and we will certainly be back again!

Loved the after ski hot chocolate ad s’mores. The romes however, are a bit tired..probably time for an upgrade.

Bland Mountain Retreat

Reviewed on: 03 May 2019

Whilst Four Seasons Whistler was perfectly ‘nice’, the resort was rather bland for my taste and lacked personality. When comparing to other similar mountain properties - Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch for example - the Four Seasons was somewhat lacking. The rooms were spacious and housekeeping kept them clean, however the property doesn’t really reflect any of the ‘great outdoors’ nor did it feel overly warm or welcoming. The food in the restaurant was good (as was room service - the staff here were also good) but the dining room was bland. You’d never know you were in the Rockies! The bar had a bit of atmosphere over the weekend when the hotel was full, but it definitely wasn’t the sort of place you would curl up infront of the fire to while away the afternoon. The bar and restaurant looked out to a rather unappealing grey, muddy terrace. We stayed 10 days and the majority of staff made little effort to acknowledge or recognize us. We wouldn’t stay here again.

We stayed in the residence building in a 3 bedroom apartment. The unit, building and concierge service were outstanding, We especially liked the hotel car service to nearby places and restaurants in Whistler as my wife had a broken foot. We also enjoyed the hotel restaurants.

Excellent Service in Ideal Location

By: sashak808

Reviewed on: 20 Aug 2019

We have stayed at the FS Whistler many times and the service and quality of stay are always excellent. Housekeeping is amazing. Room service is efficient. The hotel was at full capacity during our weeklong stay in the summer, but the staff were able to handle the crowd. Repeat guests will notice the restaurant menu has changed, which I guess is necessary every so often, but this is the 3rd breakfast menu change we've noticed that has deleted our favorite orders that were unique to the hotel. The buffet breakfast is always filled with huge varieties of options, so I'm not complaining. Pool during daylight hours was super crowded since the hotel was full and we weren't able to get any lounge chairs until after 6pm when the families left. We were able to enjoy the outdoor games (corn hole, ping pong, etc.) every afternoon which was a great way to spend time with our kids. We'll definitely be back.

If we had to extend any part of our trip to the Pacific NW, it would have been our stay in Whistler and at the Four Seasons. The staff was so professional, and warm. The property itself is stunning, very relaxed, but first class! The food was excellent and the Grounds were impeccably maintained. Our room itself was gorgeous too. we want to go back for a winter ski trip now!
