Guest Rooms & Suites

Ladder Ranch

Ted Turner’s Ladder Ranch house exudes the “authentic” Southwest, complete with Ted’s personal touches, representative of his countless experiences and adventures. Upon entering this five bedroom, three bathroom ranch house, you’re instantly taken by its luxuriously comfortable and unassuming ambience, characteristic of its longtime, devoted owner Ted Turner.

On its main floor are three bedrooms. The Master Bedroom, or Ted’s Room, is complete with a four-poster king bed and beautiful en suite bathroom with Ted’s personal study adjacently located. Also on the first floor is the spacious living room with four-tiered stacked stone, wood-burning fireplace and flat screen television, making it a superb space for absolute relaxation and memorable conversation. The remainder of the first floor is comprised of two queen bedrooms, a 1950’s retrofitted kitchen, designed by Ted Turner’s former wife, actress Jane Fonda, and an additional bathroom.

On the second floor of the house, you will find the textbook hideaway, with another queen bedroom and a separate room with three twin beds.

Vermejo Park Ranch

At Vermejo Park Ranch in northern New Mexico, the buffalo roam, the deer and the antelope play, and guests enjoy the American West’s premier ecotourism experience. Anchored by the recently renovated Casa Grande, Ted Turner’s historic private estate, the seven-room property comprises over 550,000 acres — more than many national parks. Accommodations range from luxuriously furnished bedrooms to fully equipped mountain homes; expert guides create tailored outdoor activities based on your interests and skill level. Unwind with an in-room massage or game of billiards before fresh-from-the-garden fare.

Sierra Grande Lodge

A historic lodge built over healing hot springs, Sierra Grande Lodge & Spa offers guests unprecedented access to Ted Turner’s two nearby ranches. At Armendaris you can prospect for dinosaur bones, summit your own mountain range and go behind the scenes at Spaceport America, while Ladder Ranch is one of North America’s best birdwatching sanctuaries and boasts two ancient rock-art sites, along with fantastic mountain biking trails. After exploring, soak in one of the private hot springs and dine on modern Southwestern cuisine. The 18 rooms exude rustic charm; the Casita has a walled garden for total privacy.
