About Us

Loisaba Conservancy is outstandingly beautiful, its abundant wildlife is truly wild and its accommodation is comfortable beyond measure.

Perched on the edge of an escarpment, Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp is designed to capitalize on unhindered views across Laikipia's mottled landscape all the way to Mt Kenya. All accommodations and main areas enjoy a breathtaking vantage point over an expansive panorama.

African-themed sophistication and style is the flavour of Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp. Spacious and airy tents are custom-built with large floor-to-ceiling doors and windows, high ceilings and polished wood floors. The tent suites are adorned in chic Africana furniture with a modern European twist.

The inviting main areas of Loisaba Tented Camp include a large open dining area, separate open lounge and bar, a large wooden decking area for outside dining, relaxing and enjoying the view, and one of Africa's most picturesque infinity pools.

Recently purchased by The Nature Conservancy and partnered with Space For Giants elephant foundation, Loisaba Conservancy, a functioning ranch, is a success story of conservation. Home to elephant, a healthy population of lion, the rare wild dog and an abundance of other species, Loisaba is a prime example of successful collaboration between conservation, communities, ranching and tourism.

Visitors to Loisaba are offered a myriad of activities to experience the wildlife and landscape on many different levels. Loisaba boasts a fleet of brand new custom-designed Land Rover safari vehicles for game driving both day and night. Other activities include horse-riding, camel-trekking, guided bush walks, fishing, mountain biking, cultural visits to Samburu villages and visits to the anti-poaching sniffer dogs.

Best of the Best

Experience a safari without barriers at Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp. Set on a private sanctuary larger than some nations, Loisaba encompasses a major corridor for migrating elephants as well as large populations of roaming lions and other species. Their human counterparts feel equally free to do as they please at this 12-suite, Africana-chic camp with twice-daily game drives, guided walks, camel safaris, and mountain bike tours. Go fishing, enjoy a bush picnic, or soak in the infinity-edge pool with views that stretch to Mount Kenya. Interactions with local Samburu villagers break barriers between cultures.

Hotel Tip

The conservancy has its own dedicated antipoaching team of four sniffer dogs and their handlers. Join them in daily training sessions and watch them in action.

Health & Safety

Elewana’s Essential Elements TO A SAFE & HYGIENIC SAFARI

We know this time of great uncertainty is having a huge impact on our lives, and we want to let you know what we are doing to implement rigorous health, hygiene and safety standards across all our properties. These have been developed in conjunction with our joint venture partner Minor Hotels, Eco Lab, SGS and World Health Organisation (WHO), using global best practices customised for the natural environments in which we operate. We are continually monitoring the guidelines and advice provided by relevant governments and health organisations and are committed to making the very best decisions for our guests and staff.

Our protocols combined with intensive training programmes, will allow us to resume operations in a safe environment for our staff and guests as soon as it is well-advised to do so.

The Elewana Essential Elements (EEE) embrace health, hygiene and safety best practice so that from the moment we say “karibuni” (welcome) when meeting our guests to the time we say “kwaheri” (goodbye), our guest and staff welfare and safety is at the forefront of our mind.

You can access to a full detailed of the measures here and we invite also to check out the video here.
