About Us

Originally conceived by King Ludwig I, the Bayerischer Hof is one of Munich's most legendary hotels.

History and contemporary flair mingle with easy elegance.

Its iconic Blue Spa, offering barbecues in summer and an unique ice bar in winter with views of Munich, and was created by Andrée Putman. The newest restaurants, Atelier ( 2* Guide Michelin ) and Garden, are by interior designer Axel Vervoordt, who also devised the Cinema Lounge; complete with its own Night Club with live Jazz, five restaurants, six bars and the theatre, it is a self-contained haven that draws celebrities and heads-of-state.

Guest rooms are in a variety of styles, designed by famous architects. Top-floor suites have breathtaking views, private spa access, terraces or open fireplaces. Voted in numerous rankings as one of the best grand hotels in Europe.

Best of the Best

Historic Munich meets cosmopolitan cool at the 337-room Hotel Bayerischer Hof. The super-stylish interiors boldly balance the hotel’s heritage architecture with slick, contemporary décor. Countless guests have been caught gaping at the Atrium’s stunning glass dome. Atelier restaurant scored two Michelin stars for turning seasonal cuisine into an art form, while Bavarian wursts are served in the vaulted cellar. After dinner, head to the nightclub for craft cocktails and cool jazz. Room styles range from Laura Ashley sweet to Euro swish; aim high for panoramic views in the rooftop SPA that reach to the Alps.

Hotel Tip

Bayerischer Hof is home to one of just a handful of hotel movie theaters in the world. Have your advisor secure one of the 38 Axel Vervoordt-designed lounge seats for art-house cinema.
