The Pulitzer is a unique blend of up-market, traditional and modern Dutch craftsmanship hidden amongst the city’s iconic canals.

History

A stay at the Pulitzer is a historical discovery with a long and illustrious heritage dating back to the Golden Age. The hotel is set within twenty-five restored 17th and 18th century houses that once set the scene for prosperous business deals between trade merchants and played home to the decadent and flamboyant lives of Dutch aristocrats.

A Unique Vessel

There is no better way to see Amsterdam than from the water. Pulitzer’s classic salon boat from 1909 is easy on the eyes to say the least. This sea-faring stunner has all of the classic characteristics you’d expect: polished teak and brass, traditional carpeting, marble, leather and beveled glass. A cruise down the canals on this beautiful vessel is an Amsterdam adventure you’ll never forget.

Take advantage of this season’s hottest package deals and let the Concierge team to bring a little magic and local culture to your Amsterdam adventure.

Garden Hideaway

The Pulitzer gardens occupy a surprising green oasis nestled at the center of the hotel. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is a tranquil hideaway to relax, work or socialize among seasonal plants and playful sculptures.

Yet just beyond the Pulitzer's doors lie the Anne Frank House, the Royal Palace, and other city must-sees. The 225 residential-style rooms come in all shapes and sizes; book one with a canal view. We loved the Pulitzer. Our room was perfect. It had a loft for the kids and two full bathrooms. We had a wonderful view of the canal. They had a game area and really unique basket swings. It was a busy hotel, but quiet. The hotel restaurant Jansz was excellent.

Great location, but....

Reviewed on: 24 Oct 2019

The Pulitzer is in a great location and the staff is very friendly as well as helpful. Concierge staff is excellent. The public spaces are nice. The deluxe room we had was much smaller than similar priced hotels elsewhere. The bathroom was tiny! Don’t expect an upgrade. River cruise hoards invade daily and all rooms are promised. Also don’t expect for your room to have been serviced when you return from sightseeing at 5:00 PM. All of the river cruise guests rooms had to be cleaned first to allow for the turnover. Also, we were denied 2 hour late checkout so that our room could be cleaned early.
