About Us

Aman is delighted to announce the launch of its first city property and the 27th in the portfolio – Aman Tokyo. Occupying the top six floors of the recently-built Otemachi Tower, Aman Tokyo is a luxury resort in Japan and an urban sanctuary high above the atmospheric whirl of tradition and modernity that epitomises Tokyo. Recognised as one of the world’s Global Cities alongside New York and London, Tokyo is an exciting, vibrant destination. History, commerce and culture fuse in this mega-metropolis that is truly cosmopolitan, yet intrinsically Japanese, offering fascinating juxtapositions at every turn. Gleaming skyscrapers reach for the heavens beside 19th-century palaces; humming intersections exist alongside quaint lanes, lined with convivial yakitori-ya, ramen shops and shochu bars; state-of-the-art shopping centres selling the world’s most exclusive labels overlook beautiful parks, pink with cherry blossoms in spring.

Best of the Best

Of Japan’s many serene temples, the one you’ll appreciate most just might be your room at Aman Tokyo. High above the city center, with views of the Imperial Palace Gardens and even Mount Fuji on a clear day, the hotel’s 84 accommodations are inspired sanctuaries, created from stone, camphor wood, and traditional washi paper. Even more balanced bliss awaits at the Aman Spa, which integrates herbal therapies used in kampo, or classical Chinese medicine. For an inviting dinner overlooking the city, try ARVA, Musashi, Cigar Lounge, The Café, or The Lounge, for the 1,200-bottle wine cellar and five private dining rooms.

Advisor Tip

The showers are amazing, with spectacular views of the city and Mount Fuji through floor-to-ceiling glass walls. –Jane Moore Kings Langley, Australia

Truly a 5-star experience. The Aman experience exceeded my expectations. The staff anticipated your needs before you even had to ask. We felt at home and relaxed after checking out of the property. I hope to return very soon!

The Ultimate Hotel

Aman Tokyo is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. Is the service on par with other Aman resorts? Speculative. Does it matter? No. It doesn't matter because it is such an over the top beautiful experience that slight mishaps in service don't mean a thing unless you're a jerk. I couldn't recommend Aman highly enough. Truly exceptional. But wow that price. Expensive place to stay!

It was such an incredible, unique experience. We arrived to Tokyo by train and were not expecting anyone to greet us and yet staff was right there at our train car exit and escorted us the short distance to the hotel. The property itself was lovely. The design and views were brilliant. We were able to utilize the pool and baths which were also wonderful. The staff was top notch and were attentive to the most granular detail. We really enjoyed our time at Aman. It was a very special experience.

Another outstanding Aman property, this time in the upper floors of a business tower in the financial district. The outstanding facilities and level of service were typical of Aman. Although the location for a tourist might not have been as convenient as some other leading properties, the location of the subway in the basement and Aman's house car made getting around less of a distraction.
