Miles of Coastline Allow Aquatic Activities Galore
Water plays a major role in the makeup of this northern New Zealand destination. It resides on an isthmus, and is one of the only cities in the world to boast two harbors on two different bodies of water. Here, visitors can go swimming, snorkeling, sailing, surfing, sunbathing, and more. There’s plenty to do on dry land as well, including learning about the area’s Polynesian ancestors at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
