Mulberry Harbour

A Lesser-Known, But Historical, Part Of Normandy Area

Normandy itself gets most of the tourist attention because of D-Day, but Arromanches is home to Mulberry Harbour. The harbour was a portable temporary harbour developed by British engineers to facilitate rapid offloading of cargo onto the beaches during D-Day; remnants of the engineering still stand. You can also watch the Arromanches 360 film about the first 100 days of the Normandy invasion; it's a totally-immersive film experience.
