Laguna San Ignacio, Mexico

Protected since 1993 as part of UNESCO's Whale Sanctuary of El Vizcaíno, Laguna San Ignacio is one of the world's most important breeding sites for California gray whales. Each winter, during their long migration, gray whales travel south from their Arctic feeding grounds to breed and raise their calves in these sheltered waters. Observe migrating whales from the ship and up close from local pangas and our Zodiacs. Watch for osprey, brant geese, and countless other breeding and migratory bird species, as well as bottlenose dolphins, during our explorations.

It's not unusual to see forty species of birds in just one day along these fertile shorelines where they refuel for their destinations ahead. (B,L,D)

The Wunderlins'...**Private** Big Boat Whale Watch With Breakfast...02/13/2018
Whales are one of the attractions of the winter months in Cabo - these mammals love the warm waters and it is easy to count on a successful experience whale watching in Cabo. But not everyone wishes to be in a smaller vessel and this deluxe double decker open-air motorized catamaran easily glides through the tropical waters, bringing you along for the ride. Whether you choose to be on the lower level with a great view or up on top above everything, your sailing will be special. The lower level offers some shade and is done in the style of a saloon whereas the upper deck has an open air bar/lounge area offering the views as well as fresh air and the warmth of the sun.

The boat itself is outfitted to cater to larger groups though it is never at capacity. Your breakfast will be cooked on board and served fresh from the kitchen. As you settled in, you will head for Cabo's famous Arch towards one end of the city's beautiful coastline. Start with a great cup of coffee followed by a selection of dishes that may include choices of waffles, scrambled eggs, chilaquiles, beans and more. Fresh juice is available but you can also expect great mimosas and Bloody Marys. There are other complimentary drinks to choose from.

Your crew is dedicated to adhering to the guidelines used for whale watching and will respectfully cruise as close as allowed for you to watch these mammals at play. Marine naturalists are aboard the vessel to talk about the life cycle of the whales and answer all your questions. Hopefully you will see some humpbacks, grey whales, and even some fin whales or orcas in these waters.

But all is not serious as those great drinks kick in and you are ready to enjoy some local music. Love for the ocean and dedication to service makes this excursion successful for all.

If you choose this, you will find yourself aboard our sailboat that maxes out at 15 people. That is a luxury in a location where the marina is the focus and large sailboats and catamarans are everywhere. This is not a party boat but a pleasant sailing experience. Dedicated crew will take you out to see where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez meet. During your sail, you can relax and view the scenery, which will include the Arch and Pelican's Rock and of course, a magnificent coastline.

The captain will drop anchor in Cabo San Lucas Bay, close to Pelican's Rock. Here you will have a little snorkel instruction if you wish, before immersing yourself in Cabo's famous blue waters. Full of marine life, the sea will have you counting the number of different fish and marine life that you spot during your swim. Afterwards you can dry off in the sunshine on the deck and enjoy an open bar and light lunch or snacks, depending on the time of day.

Private Luxury Sail In Cabo For Small Groups
Cabo San Lucas, commonly called Cabo in English, is a resort city at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula. It is difficult to tell that it is part of Mexico most of the time, as everyone seems to speak English and the feeling in general here is one of perfect resort mentality. Water and beach are everything here and to visit without a sailing experience means you are missing the point. So our series of sailboats are ready and waiting for your direction. We have different sizes, all with captains and crew of course. They are lovely and so is the scenery from the bow.

Your problem is only to determine what time you wish to go and for how long. Sailing and snorkeling are the activities of choice and thus, we are describing that here.

Cabo sits on the Sea of Cortez and the southern shores of the district is really snorkeling heaven. With great equipment and instruction you can count on seeing so many colorful tropical fish and marine life that you WILL lose count! Fortunately the government understood this underwater asset and has respected and conserved the fragile environment that lives beneath the surface, allowing it to flourish. We will adhere to the rules, leaving no footprints from our visit. No feeding of fish, nor touching them. Observing the marine life is what this experience is all about.

As you begin your sail, you will see the famous Arch, Lover's Beach, the sea lion colony and both sides of the Baja coastline: Pacific and Sea of Cortez. Once you reach your snorkel area, your crew will give you some informative tips and help suit you up for the water. Lunch is included and enjoyed aboard your sailboat, while you pass by all the beautiful beaches of Cabo.

Dusty Lopp's...*Private* Half Day Deep Sea Fishing Charter...11/10/2017
Your guide's many years of fishing experience in the waters of Cabo make him more than qualified to serve as Captain. With years at the helm, he has earned a reputation for being one of the most knowledgeable, honest, hard working men in the industry. Let them live up to their reputation for you!

This is a half-day charter with emphasis on catching Marlin and lots of Dorado and Yellowfin.

The boat is a 28ft Californian, a very good and comfortable boat.

Departures:
10:30 AM,

Meeting instructions:
Specific pick up or taxi instructions will appear on your voucher after you purchase your trip.

Special instructions:
- Please note that in Cabo San Lucas there is some confusion about ship time vs local time. Please see your purser on your ship to clarify whether your ship changes its time to local time so you do not miss your excursion. As each ship is ruled by its captain, it is your responsibility to confirm this while you are sailing.
- Deep Sea fishing means all poles are held in place by rod holders until a fish takes the bait. At that point, the mate or captain will set the hook, then hand the pole to the angler once the angler is seated in the fighting chair.
- Wear a hat and sunblock and your best sun glasses.
- Crew gratuities are not included. In Mexico, a customary tip for good service is 10% to 15% of the charter rate.
