4WD Rainforest And Waterfall Exploration
Australia is a massive place. Just take a look at a map and hover over its enormity. Miles and miles of coastlines. The never-ending expanse of the Outback. Out-of-this-world flora and fauna. With all of this size and variance, the area that is Northeast Australia provides a perfect microscope into all that Australia's habitats have to offer. An experienced naturalist guide will take you off the paved highway roads, with a few stops along the way, and into the mystery of the national parks that bookend the northeastern shore.

Starting at Barron Gorge National Park, you will pay a visit to Surprise Falls, which stands at a beautiful 243 meters high. Although "surprise" is its namesake, the real surprise is at Barron Falls, where, if you are lucky, you will arrive during a period of heavy rainfall. The power of water will be on full display as the Barron River rushes through the national park and plummets into the lower Barron Gorge. Trust us when we tell you this isn't your average waterfall.

unforgettable views over Cairns and towards Green Island. At Lake Morris and the Copperlode Dam, even more impressive landscapes will be on the horizon as you are now surrounded by the World Heritage rain forest-clad mountains.

An exclusive access permit will allow your guide to take you to many places not open to the public or larger buses. These unpaved tracks will wind through the rain forest and over mountains of the Great Dividing Range, which separates multiple climates and eco-systems. Every step of the way your guide will interpret the rain forest surroundings and introduce you to everything from massive ferns to the giant strangler fig tree.

This is the perfect day away from the crowds and into Australian's epic wilderness.

Cairns Half Day Highlights
Considering how massive Australia is, it would be unreasonable to assume that things in the south are the same as things in the north. This half-day tour will immerse you in the rich and unique cultural heritage of Far North Queensland. You are closer to Papa New Guinea than you are to Sydney!

The tour starts at St. Monica's Cathedral with a step inside one of the most beautiful buildings in Australia. This location is home to the world's largest themed stained glass windows that will have you wondering if you are actually staring at a movie screen. After a stop at a local's favorite spot for scones and tea, you will journey to the Flecker Botanic Gardens. A guided walk through the gardens will showcase one of the best exhibitions in Australia of tropical plants as Cairns provides the perfect climate for them to thrive.

Stunning lookouts over Cairns and into Lower Barron Gorge National Park will be the highlight of your trip. If the weather is right, soak in the sounds of a nearby waterfall cascading through the rain forest. The final destination will be Palm Cove. This inviting location is one of the most beautiful spots in the area, so take a stroll along the jetty or dig your toes into the sand. This is what Cairns is all about and you won't find it down south!

Sailing Schooner To The Great Barrier Reef With Snorkel Or Dive Options
From the moment you step on board this 52' sailing schooner, you'll know you have made the right decision for your visit to the magnificent Great Barrier Reef. With a maximum of only 25 people on board, the attentive crew will ensure your safety and comfort. Starting off with coffee, tea, pastries and fresh fruit, the adventure begins. Get into the spirit by helping to hoist the sails or kick back and enjoy the ride. Your choice.

When booking, you will have the choice to snorkel, learn to scuba or perhaps if you are a certified diver, a one or two tank dive. This is the perfect opportunity to try something new! The professional instructors will help you feel at ease and provide all the essential equipment and information for a first time diver. Don't worry, the guide will be right by your side for the entire dive, ensuring a wonderful experience.

Your friendly staff will supply high quality snorkel equipment, buoyancy vests and wetsuits (if needed), along with snorkeling instructions for those who are new to this activity. Upon arrival at their private mooring at one of the best kept secrets on the Great Barrier Reef, it's time to slip into the water and prepare to be amazed by the incredible beauty of the life below. Marvel at the uniqueness of the coral. Wonder at the wide variety of sizes, shapes and colors of creatures such as the coral trout, batfish, spangled emperors, yellow-tailed fusiliers, the giant trevally, sea turtles and even the harmless black-tipped reef shark. You won't want to leave.

After a splendid time in the water, you'll re-board the boat for the sail to Green Island. Snorkeling can work up quite an appetite and a sumptuous buffet lunch awaits, complete with Tasmanian smoked salmon, prawns, chicken, salads and breads awaits, served up by your friendly crew.

Arrival at Green Island will be a lovely surprise. The tender will take you right to the shore of this 6,000 year old coral cay. Home to more than 120 species of birds and plants, Green island is the only coral cay in the Great Barrier Reef that contains a rainforest. You can choose to stroll around the island, snorkel a bit more or purchase one of the activities offered, such as a glass bottom boat ride or visit Marineland Melanesia.

Back on board, take a seat and put your feet up while your crew provides cheese, crackers, cake and a complimentary glass of wine. To ease you back to "the real world", your captain turns off the engines for a true sailing experience.
