Tech Day In Silicon Valley
From San Francisco, we head southwest to explore the incomparable Silicon Valley, global center of technology and innovation. Your guide will give you a narrated tour of the highlights before stopping at the Apple Visitors Center. With its bright, open architecture reflective of the private Apple campus, you'll enjoy the Visitors Center's interactive exhibits, beautiful rooftop park and gift shop, bursting with all things Apple.

To gain an understanding of the evolution of technology, a visit to the Computer History Museum is a must. From the Univac to autonomous vehicles and beyond, from basement start-ups to major tech players, the exhibits here will inform, entertain and give you a new appreciation for the field, the pioneers and the possibilities.

Say what you will, where would we all be without Google? We will visit their campus, have a look around and stop in the gift shop to get all your "must have" Google gear.

Next on the agenda is a visit to the famous Facebook "Thumbs Up" sign for a selfie stop.

Finally we head to Silicon Valley's backyard, Palo Alto, a hotbed for start-ups and investors. Absorb the start-up culture as you enjoy a downtown lunch break (cost of lunch not included) before we make our way back to San Francisco.

Muir Woods, Sausalito And Wine Country With Wine Tastings
Heading north out of San Francisco, we'll cross the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, stopping on the other side for a panoramic view of the city skyline, San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz Island. Driving through the Marin Headlands your guide will inform you about its history and ecosystem as you admire the spectacular rugged coastal scenery.

Just ahead is Muir Woods National Monument, an awe-inspiring forest best known for its towering cathedral of old-growth redwood trees. Named after John Muir, naturalist, environmentalist and "Father of the National Parks", these woods are contemplative, earthy and ancient. We'll spend an hour or more here, allowing you time to appreciate and reconnect with nature.

Continuing on, we begin to enter the rolling, romantic hills of wine country! A lunch stop will happen at either a vineyard or the Sonoma Town Square. Take in the Mission San Francisco de Solano or browse the shops and boutiques.

Surrounded on all sides by lush vineyards, you'll be anxious to stop and get a closer look. We'll while away the afternoon, stopping at 2 or 3 Sonoma wineries, with at least 2 full flights of wine tastings. Take your time and savor the reds, whites and dessert varietals offered for your enjoyment.

As we make our way back to the city, we'll visit charming Sausalito, known for its art, shopping and especially its houseboats...some luxurious, some spartan, some quirky, but all interesting and unique.

There's a final view of the San Francisco skyline as we once again cross the Golden Gate Bridge at the end of the day.

Driving through the Marin Headlands your guide will inform you about its history and ecosystem as you admire the spectacular rugged coastal scenery.

Continuing on, we begin to enter the rolling hills of wine country! Surrounded on all sides by lush vineyards, you'll be anxious to stop and get a closer look. Your guide has arranged a 45-minute tram ride through a family-owned winery. The afternoon will be spent driving the rolling hills and visiting additional wineries in Oakville, Yountville or the town of Napa, each offering tastings (for purchase) of their finest, award-winning wines. Or in lieu of one of the wineries, a stop might instead be made a a local public market, offering a wide variety of products, including wines, cheeses, charcuterie and everything in between.

A Day In Yosemite National Park
We'll get an early start to make the most of this very special day. With your knowledgeable local guide at the wheel, the tour begins by driving across the Bay Bridge, providing great views of the city skyline, Alcatraz and the Embarcadero.

Continuing on, we'll enter the Central Valley, the largest agricultural area in the United States. This particular area grows an abundance of strawberries, cherries and a variety of nuts. We'll make a stop at a roadside stand for you to purchase the freshest of produce.

Soon the rolling foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains are in front of us, and shortly thereafter we'll drive through California Gold Rush towns.

We've finally reached Yosemite! Your guide will provide a 90 minute narrated driving tour, showcasing the park's most famous and beloved highlights including the imposing El Capitan, powerful Yosemite Falls, impressive Half Dome and beautiful Bridalveil Falls. There will be photo stops along the way, including Tunnel View. At 4,500 feet above sea level, this mountainous vantage point affords spectacular views of Yosemite Valley.

Now that you have a general layout of the park, we'll give you 3 hours in the valley to spend as you wish. Hike the nearby trails, take photographs, go for a swim or rent a bike. You could wander through the Ahwahnee Hotel, perfectly situated near Yosemite Falls, Half Dome and Glacier Point or perhaps visit the Ansel Adams Gallery to appreciate the master's talents at capturing the soul of this incredible place.

After regrouping with our tour, we'll make our way back to the city, with a short stop along the way. A most memorable day, indeed.

Mystical Muir Woods And Charming Sausalito
Heading north out of San Francisco, we'll cross the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, stopping on the other side for a panoramic view of the city skyline, San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz Island. Driving through the Marin Headlands your guide will inform you about its history and ecosystem as you admire the spectacular rugged coastal scenery.

Just ahead is Muir Woods National Monument, an awe-inspiring forest best known for its towering cathedral of old-growth redwood trees. The Coastal Redwood is the tallest tree species in the entire world. Even more impressive, these trees only thrive in Northern California and Oregon, courtesy of the thick fog that blankets the west coast in the summer months. Named after John Muir, naturalist, environmentalist and "Father of the National Parks", these woods are contemplative, earthy and ancient. We'll spend an hour or more here, allowing you time to appreciate and reconnect with nature.

Just a short drive away, we'll visit picturesque Sausalito. Your guide will drive you around to familiarize yourself with the area. Then you're off on your own for about 30 minutes to explore this town that was a shipbuilding center during World War II. Since then it has become a residential and artistic community, and is well-known for its houseboats...some luxurious, some spartan, some quirky, but all interesting and unique.

At this point, you have the option to stay in Sausalito (to browse the shops and galleries, enjoy a fresh seafood lunch or further explore the town) or return to the city with your guide. If you decide to stay, choose the "Sausalito Ferry Option" at check out. Your guide will provide your ticket.

If you have chosen to return with your guide, you'll have a final view of the San Francisco skyline as we once again cross the Golden Gate Bridge.
