Savor the beauty of Buda and Pest on opposite sides of the Danube with a city tour that showcases many highlights, including the Great Market Hall, Heroes' Square, and Castle Hill. (B)

DAY 3
Budapest, Hungary

Check out of your hotel to board your luxurious ship. During the evening, be treated to a special Illuminations cruise around Budapest's famed parliament building. (B,D)

DAY 4
Bratislava, Slovakia

Bratislava certainly has earned the title "Coronation City of Kings" as you'll discover during your walking tour that includes the Old Town Hall, Mirbach Palace, and St. Martin's Cathedral. Or for more adventure, go high above the city by hiking up to Bratislava Castle. (B,L,D)

DAY 5
Vienna, Austria

The "City of Waltzes" offers a treasure trove of gems and you have two ways to discover them. Join a city tour showcasing its regal splendors, including the majestic Opera House and the former Imperial Palace of the Habsburgs before concluding in Vienna's historic city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and then visiting St. Stephen's Cathedral. For a more active exploration of the area, take a guided bike ride along the Danube. During the afternoon, you can enjoy leisure time or pedal your way to Klosterneuburg Monastery on a guided cycling tour. (B,L,D)

Dürnstein, Austria
Melk, Austria

After reaching the Wachau Valley in the morning, you'll have a choice of three excursions in Dürnstein. Partake in a walking tour along cobblestone streets to the luminous blue façade of the Baroque Stiftskirche and its famed church tower, before enjoying a wine tasting in a local cellar. For a beautiful view of the Wachau Valley, hike up to the fortress where Richard the Lionheart was once held. Alternatively, visit a local boutique, where you'll be treated to the region's finest apricot products. After your morning excursions, you have a choice to cruise through the Wachau Valley to Melk or join a bike tour along the Danube. Upon reaching Melk, take a tour of the UNESCO-designated Melk Abbey. DAY 7
Passau, Germany

Enjoy a scenic morning sailing to the medieval city of Passau. Join a walking tour through this 2,000-year-old city, noted for its Gothic and Italian Baroque architecture and St. Stephan's Cathedral. Guests looking for a more active morning can choose between a guided bike tour along the Danube, or a guided hike up to the Veste Oberhaus Fortress overlooking Passau. (B,L,D)

Regensburg, Germany

Explore Regensburg, one of Germany's best-preserved medieval cities, on a guided walking tour showcasing the city's architectural highlights, including the Old Town Hall and the Porta Praetoria, a gate to an ancient Roman fort built in 179 AD. As an alternate option, sample some of Bavaria's specialties—beer, sausage, and pretzels; or bike to Walhalla where you'll see the Neo-classical white-marble temple inspired by the Parthenon in Athens. DAY 9
Nürnberg, Germany

Enjoy a scenic morning cruise as the ship crosses the Continental Divide via the Main-Danube Canal to Nuremberg. Explore the medieval city center with a tour that showcases the Imperial Castle and the famous town wall, as well as Albrecht Dürer's home and Market Square with its legendary fountain. Or you can take a guided tour of the city's WWII history, including a visit to the infamous Zeppelin Field, a museum built on the site of former Nazi rallies and the site of the Nuremberg Trials when not in session. Alternatively, savor traditional Franconian specialties by sampling famously delicious Nuremburger Bratwurst, Rotbier (red beer), and Lebkuchen (gingerbread). (B,L,D)

Depart the ship after breakfast and drive through the countryside to Pilsen, a city perhaps best known for producing Pilsner beer. You will have free time to explore this lovely town and have lunch before continuing to Prague and checking into your hotel. (B)

Prague, Czech Republic

Your morning tour reveals all the fairytale beauty of "The City of a Hundred Spires", starting with the Prague Castle, the world's largest ancient castle. The castle grounds are dominated by the monumental St. Vitus Cathedral—taking 600 years to complete. Guided around the castle grounds, you'll see numerous gardens, residences, and even a vineyard. From the castle, walk along the 14th-century pedestrian-only Charles Bridge to the historic old city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Old Town Square dates back to the 12th century, and is silhouetted by the fabled Týn Cathedral with its iconic Gothic twin towers that can be seen from all over Prague. Dominating the square is the Gothic Old Town Hall, home to the world-famous medieval astronomical clock, the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world.

Prague, Czech Republic

Spend a day at your leisure, perhaps to stroll through a museum or gallery, wander along the banks of the Vltava River, relax at an outdoor café, or shop for local handicrafts. (B)

Bid farewell to Prague and prepare for your homeward flight. (B)

Cancellation Policy: For any cruise/land booking, whether under deposit, partially paid, or paid in full, including air packages, the following travel agent or guest-requested situations are considered cancellations and penalties will apply as noted below: changes to departure date; substitutions of itinerary; substitution of another person for original booked guest(s); or changing to a promotional fare. All cancellations must be in writing. For all air-inclusive packages cancelled after issuance of an airline ticket, the air portion of the refund, if any, will be processed only after the return of airline ticket. The following cancellation charges will be assessed for all written cancellations received prior to departure up to the scheduled time of departure.

Cancellation received | Following charges will apply: (Broken out by days before departure) 121 days or more is $200 per person | 120-90 days is $400 per person | 89-60 days is 35% of full fare | 59-30 days is 50% of full fare | 29-7 days is 80% of full fare | 6 days prior to sailing is 100% cancellation. Full Fare is defined as the full cost of any cruise, land or air component purchased from AmaWaterways. All air purchased through AmaWaterways has a cancellation penalty of $350 per person for Economy and $600 per person for Business class. In the event you purchase a non-refundable ticket, the full fare is under penalty.

*Certain airline tickets, including all intra-Asia Flights within 90 days of departure and published price tickets, are 100% non-refundable. Penalty rates shown are for flight arrangements deposited/booked from July 1, 2014 onward. Except as otherwise provided in your Passenger Ticket Contract, after travel begins, there is no refund for unused services, or unused portions of cruise, cruise/tour or airfare.
