Step aboard to begin your journey. The ship will be berthed in Civitavecchia, the closest port to the airport and Rome. Relax and settle in to your well-appointed stateroom, perhaps also unwinding at our Infinity Pool. We remain in port overnight, giving you the opportunity to dine ashore should you wish.

Explore the "Eternal City" today with a local guide. You'll marvel at the magnificent Colosseum where gladiators once battled, the historic Roman Forum, and Vatican City. You might also choose one of our fascinating tours that highlights Rome's treasures. Alternately, visit Tarquinia's Etruscan necropolis or the excavated town of Ostia Antica.

Trapani, Italy

The rugged landscape and passionate people of Sicily are sure to win you over, as is the island's vibrant cuisine and Marsala, the local fortified wine. Sightseeing from the town of Trapani might include a visit to the hilltop town of Erice, with its two castles and Chiesa Madre Gothic church, or a tour of Segesta, a key city to the indigenous Elymian people, where there are fine examples of Greek architecture.

La Goulette, Tunisia

Exotic Tunisia welcomes visitors to North Africa with a host of enticing attractions. Shoppers may want to head first to the medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the old quarter of Tunis, to explore the colorful souk scattered across a maze of winding streets. For archaeology buffs, a visit to the extraordinary nearby ancient cities of Carthage and Kerkouane is a must.

Cagliari, Italy

Rich in history, Sardinia has been visited by Phoenicians, Romans, Vandals, and Moors. Its main port, Cagliari, is set on the Golfo degli Angeli, or Gulf of Angels, and lies adjacent to seaside lagoons that harbor a wide array of birdlife. Explore Cagliari's old Castello District, from the 12th-century Cathedral of Santa Maria del Castello to the Roman Amphitheater, Porta Cristina, the Citadel of Museums, the Tower of St. Pancras, and the Elephant Tower.

In the old quarter of the dazzling whitewashed city of Algiers, shoppers can make wonderful discoveries among the stalls of the Casbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city's historic center features a variety of landmarks. Take a walk in the Jardin d'Essai du Hamma, a 19th-century public garden, or explore the large collection at the National Museum of Fine Arts.

Valencia, Spain

Spain's Mediterranean port of Valencia is a mecca for lovers of one of the country's most iconic dishes, paella. Choose from a wide array of variations of the dish at restaurants throughout town, perhaps with a glass of local wine. Or sample the city's other specialty, horchata. You'll also want to visit the famous Lladró porcelain factory, world renowned for its imaginative and delicate figurines.

Columbus Monument. Port Vell. Arc de Triomf. These are just a few of the monumental sights you will see in Barcelona. Other scenic highlights include the Olympic Port, built for the 1992 Olympic Games, and the Passeig de Gràcia, a boulevard renowned for its architecture, including works by Antoni Gaudí. Your overnight stay allows time to discover Barcelona on your own, or join us for a culturally enriching optional excursion such as an evening performance of flamenco. Watch this vibrant dance while savoring a menu of traditional tapas.

Awake in Barcelona and further explore the Catalonian capital. Start on Las Ramblas, the mile-long leafy pedestrian boulevard. Or, take a turn through the myriad side streets of the Gothic Quarter, where the ancient and the modern sit side by side, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Or, head to the Passeig de Gràcia, a boulevard renowned for its architecture, including works by Antoni Gaudí. Or, opt for one of the many optional tours.

Marseille, France

Visit Marseille, France's oldest city, rich in timeless treasures. Discover its atmospheric Old Port, overseen by two 17th-century fortresses. The picturesque quay was built on the orders of Louis XII and Louis XIII and is one of the world's most romantic walks. As you explore, take in the beauty of its natural harbor, dotted with elegant yachts. Marvel at the church of Notre-Dame de la Garde and Palais Longchamp, or venture to Aix-en-Provence.

DAY 11
St. Tropez, France

Experience an enchanting blend of glamour and charm in St. Tropez, its stunning port lined with old-world façades and extravagant yachts. This former fishing village, the first coastal town to be liberated by Allied troops during Operation Dragoon, has attracted royalty and celebrity ever since Brigitte Bardot drew attention to its Pampelonne beaches in the 1950s. Step ashore from your ship's tender and explore its picturesque port, imposing citadel, and quaint market square.

Monte Carlo, Monaco

Enjoy a full day in Monaco, the playground for the rich and famous, as well as the gateway to the beautiful South of France. Visit medieval Monaco, stopping at the Prince's Palace and St. Nicholas Cathedral, the burial site of the royal family, including American actress Grace Kelly. As we stay late in port, you will have time to step inside the Casino de Monte-Carlo, the most prestigious and celebrated gambling mecca on earth. As an option, venture out of town to the legendary perfumeries in Grasse, or stroll along the English Promenade in glamorous Nice.

Immerse yourself in the beauty of Tuscany with an included, well-curated tour of Pisa. Alternatively, enjoy a full-day tour that combines Pisa and Florence. Begin with a scenic drive through the countryside to Florence, where you will stroll by the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore. Continue to the medieval Ponte Vecchio, and the attractive Basilica di Santa Croce, resting place of Michelangelo. In Pisa, you will have time to explore the Square of Miracles, including the famous Leaning Tower, the Cathedral and Baptistery.

DAY 15
Civitavecchia, Italy

Awake in Civitavecchia, the port of Rome, where you will be departing your ship. From here, you can easily spend a few extra days to further explore Rome on a post-cruise extension.
