Nürnberg, Germany

You have two excursion options today. Take a tour of the city's medieval highlights, including Nuremberg Castle, the 900-year-old ramparts surrounding the city, Town Hall, Church of Our Lady, and the house of artist Albrecht Dürer, or join a WWII tour and see the Coliseum, Nazi Parade Grounds, and Justice Palace. Later, the ship cruises the Main-Danube Canal to Regensburg. (B,L,D)

DAY 3
Regensburg, Germany

This afternoon, the ship arrives in Regensburg, one of Germany's best-preserved medieval cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You have your choice of one of three tours this afternoon. Your first option is a guided walking tour of the city's architectural highlights, including the Old Town Hall and the Porta Praetoria, the gate to an ancient Roman fort built in 179 A.D. Your second option is an opportunity to sample the city's most renowned specialties – sausage, beer, and pretzels. Your third option is a guided bike tour from Regensburg to Walhalla through the spectacular scenery of the Danube Valley. (B,L,D)

DAY 4
Passau, Germany

After breakfast, arrive in picturesque Passau, where the Inn and Ilz rivers flow into the Danube. You will have a choice of a walking tour of Passau's Old Town, past the old city fortifications, Rathaus, Domplatz, and Residenzplatz squares, as well as St. Stephan's Cathedral, or more active guests may join either a guided bike tour along the Danube from Passau to Erlau or a guided hike up to the Veste Oberhaus fortress overlooking Passau. Linz, Austria

The ship arrives this morning in Linz. Enjoy a walking tour of the second-largest city in Austria or choose a guided bike tour that will show you around the Old City Center, along the Danube River, and past the ultra-modern Ars Electronica Center. Later, you will have a choice of three different excursions. The first option is an excursion to Salzburg, Mozart's birthplace, where you will take a walking tour of the historic center made famous by "The Sound of Music". The second option is an excursion to the Czech town of Český Krumlov, a wonderfully preserved medieval town nestled in the hills just over the Austrian-Czech border. The third option is a visit to the Austrian Lake District, the scenic Salzkammergut region. All three regions are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. (B,L,D)

DAY 6
Melk, Austria
Dürnstein, Austria
Krems, Austria

Early this morning, we cruise to Melk. You have a choice between a guided tour of Melk's magnificent Benedictine abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Europe's largest and most revered monasteries, or a guided bike tour along the Danube. Return to the ship for lunch before cruising on through the scenic Wachau Valley. Next, it's on to Dürnstein, where you will have three tour options: a walking tour along the town's cobblestone streets followed by a wine tasting, a hike up to the fortress where Richard the Lionheart was once held for ransom, or an apricots and sweets tasting. This evening, sail on to Krems where you choose between a walking tour or a wine tasting. (B,L,D)

DAY 7
Vienna, Austria

This morning, you will have a chance to savor the Baroque elegance of romantic Vienna through your choice of one of four different excursions. The first option is a panoramic tour of Vienna that guides you past the majestic Opera House, the former Imperial Palace of the Habsburg Emperors, Parliament, Town Hall, and Vienna University. Afterwards, you will visit Vienna's historic city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and see St. Stephen's Cathedral, Graben, and the world famous Spanish Riding School. The second option is an exclusive Sacher and Sekt experience. Your third option is a guided bike tour along the Danube and through the Donaupark. Finally, you can also opt to join a guided bike ride to Klosterneuburg Monastery. This afternoon, explore this unbelievable city at your leisure. Be sure to sample some Viennese coffee and pastries. Cancellation Policy: For any cruise/land booking, whether under deposit, partially paid, or paid in full, including air packages, the following travel agent or guest-requested situations are considered cancellations and penalties will apply as noted below: changes to departure date; substitutions of itinerary; substitution of another person for original booked guest(s); or changing to a promotional fare. All cancellations must be in writing. For all air-inclusive packages cancelled after issuance of an airline ticket, the air portion of the refund, if any, will be processed only after the return of airline ticket. The following cancellation charges will be assessed for all written cancellations received prior to departure up to the scheduled time of departure.

Cancellation received | Following charges will apply: (Broken out by days before departure) 121 days or more is $200 per person | 120-90 days is $400 per person | 89-60 days is 35% of full fare | 59-30 days is 50% of full fare | 29-7 days is 80% of full fare | 6 days prior to sailing is 100% cancellation. Full Fare is defined as the full cost of any cruise, land or air component purchased from AmaWaterways. All air purchased through AmaWaterways has a cancellation penalty of $350 per person for Economy and $600 per person for Business class. In the event you purchase a non-refundable ticket, the full fare is under penalty.

*Certain airline tickets, including all intra-Asia Flights within 90 days of departure and published price tickets, are 100% non-refundable. Penalty rates shown are for flight arrangements deposited/booked from July 1, 2014 onward. Except as otherwise provided in your Passenger Ticket Contract, after travel begins, there is no refund for unused services, or unused portions of cruise, cruise/tour or airfare.
