Germany’s second-largest airport beckons with an outdoor beer garden and Terminal 2’s stylish new satellite.

EAT
Top bites in the new terminal: tapas at Lenbach’s Bar or gourmet burgers with a view of the tarmac at a branch of Munich’s trendy Hans im Glück. There’s also a central market area that mimics downtown’s famous Viktualienmarkt.

DRINK
Airbräu, the world’s first on-site airport brewery, serves eight different beers at a bargain – about $3.25 a pint. The Hefeweizen- style Kumulus is one of the year-round classics. You have to exit security to get to the 600-seat open-air beer garden, but Terminal 2 has a smaller outpost.

UNWIND
Wait for your flight at any of three stylish lounges by Swiss furniture company Vitra. The reclining chairs, dedicated reading nooks with hundreds of books, and business stations with plenty of charging ports are open to all travelers.
