My love and joy to share cultural travel experiences led me to the travel industry in 1981. In San Francisco I worked in a boutique travel firm's corporate travel and group division; then I spent 2+ years with United Airlines as a reservation sales representative and help desk associate. I also gained valuable experience at DFS Galleria as an "in house" travel agent. Relocating to the Sierra foothills in 1990 began my leisure travel career with Giselle's Travel (now owned by Global Travel). Since 2003 I have been an independent contractor under Global Travel with the business motto of "best value luxury travel." Favorite travel adventures in the past few years include South Africa, Zambia and Botswana, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand, Sicily, northern and southern India, and, closer to home, jaunts to Hawaii and Mexico. The 2015/2016 update for awesome travel experiences include Panama, and Tauck river cruising from Budapest to Amsterdam, Virtuoso's study tour to New Zealand and Abercrombie and Kent's educational tour to Patagonia with Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Calafate, Puerto Natales and Santiago! Excellent Experiences in 2019 include Zegrahm Expeditions' small ship cruising from Chennai India to the Bangladesh mangroves and into Myanmar; Abercrombie and Kent study tour to Southern Africa, TCS World Travel private jet to Hawaii, and travels in Colonial Mexico cities of Morelia and Patzcuaro.

As 2020 approaches, let's reflect on the beauty of our planet and all the wonderful opportunities we've had to experience it~~~in many parts of the world, tourism actually does support conservation of the land, its communities and cultures, and all its living creatures! Best travel advise seen on bumper sticker: Stay Calm and Carry On!

UPDATE Since the 2020-2023 pandemic: With respect to all, I have managed to continue working and traveling throughout the past few years. I have educated and guided clients so that they remain safe and healthy.

As for myself, I had a spectacular educational trip returning to India with A&K: one of many highlights was a few days' stay in Varanasi along the sacred Ganges river. Safari with WILDERNESS in Botswana was spectacular: awe-inspiring sightings and the warmest hospitality. Lindblad took us from Singapore to Bali with a highlight hike on Krakatoa, and a stay at The Oberoi Beach Resort Bali. Dear friends in Israel made us so welcomed at their moshav; one highlight was a walking-and-eating tour in Haifa and learning about the art deco architectural influences. Tour Tailors assisted in my creating a small group journey to Madrid and Andalusia in autumn 2023: besides the enhanced friendships, we enjoyed excellent accommodations and shared meals, flamenco dance, history, culture, art, religions, literature, philosophy~~~Spain has a cornucopia of delights for the curious traveler!
