People ask why I chose to work in travel, but to be honest, travel chose me! 

While it was always a hobby, I was pursuing employment in the health field after obtaining my Registered Dietitian certification. I decided to take one big trip with some friends before committing to a full-time job at a large New York hospital. I called an advisor at Ovation Vacations to ask for some advice. Not only did she provide stellar travel advice, but she also offered me an interview!

I had always been the “planner” among my friends, the one searching out new, unique experiences and the one who can’t sit still.  A job in travel was something I would never have thought of on my own, but it has changed my life in indescribable ways. I walked into the Ovation Headquarters a couple of days later and haven’t looked back since!

My biggest reward is always the positive feedback I get from clients, especially young honeymooners who are just beginning their lives together and possibly using a large portion of their well-earned savings for their most special trip. It is the one time they really want to be blown away and that gives me the opportunity to be creative beyond the normal romantic turndown... 

Every client wants to feel important and memorable to the staff. At the end of a trip, you never remember the thread count of your sheets or the pillow menu, but you will always remember the friends you have met abroad.
