No matter the distance, SmartFlyer’s indefatigable Founder and CEO has been known to pick up and go, often at a moment’s notice, to spend the weekend in a city on the other side of the world. More impressive still – Michael is always reachable, even in the middle of an African desert.

In 1990, driven by his love for air travel, Michael founded SmartFlyer upon graduating from Washington University. In the travel industry, Michael is known as Mr. 2A, named after his choice seat on every plane, and is sought out by SmartFlyer VIPs to design once-in-a-lifetime itineraries. Michael is consistently recognized by AFAR Magazine and other media outlets and sits on hotel advisory boards for Four Seasons Hotels, Park Hyatt, Marriott Luxury Brands, IHG Luxury Lifestyle, as well as the Residential Condo Boards of One57 and The Richard Meier Buildings.
