Dan Beschloss

Dan started his travel career in the airline industry in 1979 and for 10 years worked for several foreign flag carriers in reservations, cargo and eventually in passenger sales.

In 1989, Dan moved to the TMC side of the luxury travel business and joined a small London-based boutique agency, Mark Allan Travel, specializing in individual and entertainment travel, where he handled business development and supplier relations from their New York City office.

In 1993, he joined the prestigious travel company, Valerie Wilson Travel (VWT), one of the largest privately woman-owned consulting companies, where he spent the next 29 years as Executive Director of Industry Relations. In that time, he worked to develop and enhance relationships with luxury hotels, DMC’s and On-sites, worldwide. (Dan was the “911” and “411” for all the advisors). He has participated in numerous advisory boards, including IHG, Preferred Hotel Group, Two Roads Hospitality, Travel Market Report and Omni Hotels & Resorts, all under the Luxury Leisure category.

After the sale of Valerie Wilson Travel during the pandemic Dan joined Avondale Travel, a former affiliate of VWT, where he continues to work as the Vice President of Industry Relations, based in Lancashire in the UK.

In his three plus decades of working in the luxury travel space, he has had the privilege of traveling around the world meeting the most incredible people in the most amazing places. Food and wine have always been an integral part of the travel experience.

He plays piano and has been spotted performing at ILTM in Cannes, Travelux in Venice, the Ray Charles Suite at Raffles Royal Monceau, The Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel and once at Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle!

In October of 2022, Dan and his wife Gillian moved to the U.K., where Gillian is from and where her family still live, just outside of Manchester
