Ashley has had a passion for travel as long as she can remember. Her parents and grandparents encouraged her and rewarded good grades with trips to the Bahamas and Mexico in early stages of schooling. As she entered in to middle school, she ventured out on her first educational school trip over to the UK and Ireland. From there, she went on to college to study Animal Science, which allowed her to study in Ecuador, Galápagos Islands, and New Zealand. The urge to see the world was deeply embedded by the time she graduated college.
After graduation, and relocating to Florida to pursue her career in Animal Science, she was quickly sidetracked when the opportunity arose to work as a stewardess/chef on private yachts. For the next 15 years, she traveled to the Bahamas so many times, that it is almost a second home to her. She has also traveled all the East Coast of the US experiencing the beauty of the coastal cities. One of her most memorable experiences was bringing a boat from Sarasota, FL across the Gulf of Mexico and thru the Panama Canal.
After 15 years as a stewardess/chef, she was introduced to the notion of being a travel advisor. It seemed to be a natural transition from one career to the other. Her passion and enthusiasm for her personal travel could actually help others experience the same wonders! She hopes that being a part of the travel community will help and encourage others to see what this amazing world has to offer. It is her ultimate goal to be able share and experience as many of the sights, sounds, and flavors of all the cultures from around the world.
