My most vivid childhood memories are from traveling. My parents intentionally planned vacations to expose our family to the beauty of the US—from Yellowstone National Park to Urban NYC. My younger brother and I would learn as we ate different regional foods, went to museums, hiked to various waterfalls, or toured historical sites. One of my favorite memories took place in Australia at a Daintree Rainforest resort—a resort WITHOUT internet, phones, and televisions! Our family played card games, explored nature, had long dinners, and had so many wonderful conversations. I believe traveling is a way to find CONNECTION—an intentional time to connect with ourselves, our loved ones, and others. It allows us to see a different way of life, relax, and enjoy our planet's beauty.
