David Barclay

David’s love of travel started early, with family cross-country road trips to both coasts and many national parks. In high school he traveled to Canada and Mexico and after college he expanded his travel reach again, crossing both oceans to visit Europe and Asia. David’s first experience with luxury travel occurred in 2006 on his honeymoon to Australia & New Zealand. For over 15 years, he has been a consumer of luxury travel experiences, including exclusive boutique properties, private guided tours of many of the world’s famous sites, and sailing the oceans on ultra-luxury ships.

As a former management consultant with McKinsey and a former executive at PepsiCo, David is very familiar with a hectic, fast-paced, high-pressure lifestyle. He understands his clients’ need to maximize the value of their preciously few vacation days. David ensures his clients get VIP treatment, uniquely crafted adventures to experience all the world has to offer, and meticulously planned itineraries to ensure well-executed trips. Leveraging his skillset developed over years of professional experience in management consulting and consumer research, and his years of personal luxury travel, David delivers travel planning with professionalism and creativity that allow his clients to relax, re-energize, and connect with the new places they visit.

David is a native Chicagoan and lives in downtown Chicago with his family. He has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. In addition to traveling the world, David enjoys cooking and culinary experiences, wine tasting and collecting, reading about travel and unique locations, boating and water activities, and exploring the outdoors.
