I remember the first time that I ever thought about travel. REAL travel. It was about 30 years ago. Yes, I just dated myself. Family friends had just returned from a trip to the Far East and were showing us their pictures.

I was fascinated!

They had pictures of the wife snuggled up with a Bengal Tiger. Riding an elephant! Interacting with the local people. I was mesmerized. That trip of theirs stuck in mind. I told myself...one day. But, I had young children and a career where I couldn't possibly take off from work?

As I've aged (and my husband and children have too), time doesn't wait. The gift of travel is one of the greatest gifts that you can give the people you love.
