Sheila Eifert

The product of a traditional, Midwestern upbringing in Greater Chicago, Sheila has always been a woman on the move. Her parents recognized early the importance of travel and took her places from a young age, whether a special trip to the Caribbean or an improvised four-week “vacation” while her father visited customers.

Sheila first came to Dayton as an undergraduate at the University of Dayton where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She returned to Chicago to secure her MBA from Loyola University, and then launched her first career at Andersen Consulting (Accenture). At Andersen, she reignited her love for global cultures, spending a year working a project in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Upon return to the U.S., even though she and her husband were often on the road, she was always arranging fun rendezvous, sometimes as far as Europe and Asia.

But her true skill for travel planning took flight as a mother, raising her three beautiful children for more than 20 years. She wanted to make sure her children understood the enormity of our world and the beauty of cultural diversity. So, she found unique homestay and cultural immersion trips in Costa Rica and Spain; canyoning adventures in Italy; soccer experiences in France; cliffside trekking experiences in Puerto Rico; and hiking, beach, and lake trips to every corner of the U.S. Her effusive personality has led her to make lifelong friends in many parts of the world. Her secret to great experiences? Going the extra mile to find the special places and adventures no one else seems to know about.

Sharing her experiences with others has been a lifelong dream, an opportunity to put her love of travel and culture to work for others.
